Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! I couldn’t sleep at all last night worrying about this packing. I’m actually on hold right now with PODS to see if we can get a second container delivered today for all the boxes that we don’t think are going to fit. Insanity!
I’ve been up since 5:30 and tore apart my bedroom for packing. Then showered. Then came down to this mess:
Despite the mess, I still managed to create one final delicious bowl of oatmeal.
Made a double match for mom and me. For TWO servings:
- 2/3 cup oats
- 2/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 banana
- Pinch salt, splash vanilla
- Nature’s Path Granola
- Biscoff
- Maranatha Dark Chocolate Almond Butter MELT!!
Iced coffee with mint!
Goodbye Garden!
My stomach is in knots. Since typing this on hold with PODS, they say they can’t get a second container here until next week. That won’t help us one bit! Rats.
I’ll be back to tune in to you guys sometime today.
Dreaming of being on the beach next weekend with all these last whirlwinds behind me!
Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine says
Good luck with all the POD insanity, keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Do you have any storage places nearby that would rent you a space today, e.g. POD Plan B?
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
Good luck Kath! I hope the packing goes well!
Kori says
Hang in there, Kath. Things have a funny way of working themselves out the way they are supposed to be. 🙂 Just try to relax a little bit and clear your mind of all the clutter and stress.
Hannah says
No matter how stressful it feels right now, it WILL be over soon. And you’ll hope never to have to go through it again 😀 But hey, at least there’s Charlottesville and Eppie’s date/goats cheese/corn salad to look forward to! (I miss that place!)
Sarah says
How stressful! This is going to work out – one way or another – and it will be a funny, distant memory soon enough.
Little Bookworm says
I hope everything works out!
Jess says
It’s so nice of your parents to come and help you with the moving process. Just remember that this is a moment of stress and in the end it will be so worth it! Fingers crossed for you. 🙂
Marissa says
You’re doing a great job handling all this stress; I’d be a nervous wreck just from the state of the kitchen, much less the packing and moving! Just think that some way or another, it will all be over this time next week!
Kerri says
Good luck! Just take a moment and imagine floating in the ocean when the stress gets to be too much.
Stacey@http://stacey-healthylife.blogspot.com/ says
What what insanity is right, just breath and think about the future.

This will all be over soon!
Way to stay positive, Kath!
kristin p says
Just remember to breathe! PODS always hold way more than you would expect them to. Just be sure to pack all the way to the top – you’ll be surprised how much will fit. If it doesn’t end up fitting, then you can make arrangements knowing exactly how large your overflow is.
Smile! It’s almost over 🙂
Marilou @ Mostly Healthy says
Moving is so freakin stressing 🙁 Were you any good at Tetris? This is the time to use these skills 🙂
Kathryn says
You have been so calm and motivated through the entire moving process. I’m sending good storage vibes your way.
Deva (Voracious Vorilee) says
The end is near – and even if you have to play tetris with your boxes and furniture, everything will work out. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for you today.
Cynthia (It All Changes) says
Packing day is nuts. Praying you can stay calm through it all.
Hillary [Nutrition Nut on the Run] says

lynn (The Actors Diet) says
good luck with everything, kath!
remember – BREATHE!
Mary @ Bites and Bliss says
Breathe deep!! Do some yoga! Even if you can only be calm enough for five minutes of it..it’ll be something. 🙂
Meg says
Praying for ya Kath – it’ll all work out – just remember the people around you, your loved ones, are always what matters most!! 🙂

Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
Hang in there! I’m sure everything will work itself out. 🙂
Robyn @ Frugal 'n' Fit! says
I’ve read that moving is one of the most stressful experiences a person can go through (right up there with divorce and death! Yikes!). You will get through this and be all the stronger because of it. When in doubt, think of yourself lying on the beach next week with nary a care in the world 🙂
Kathy W. says
What might help to fit everything in is to pack soft items like clothing, sheets and blankets in big plastic storage bags or trash bags (with the storage bags, you could even vacuum out the air, compressing the size to nothing!). Then you can fit those in around those pesky boxes, saving a huge amount of space.
Good luck!!
Diana @ frontyardfoodie says
Aww! I know we’re all going to miss that garden and all the lovely photos that came from it. Keep it together sister! it’s gonna be over soon.
Wei-Wei says
Hahaha the final oatmeal. I’m sorry to hear that the POD isn’t going well. I hope the issue gets sorted out soon! Don’t worry, you’ll make it through 🙂 Good luck! 😀

Kelsey @ CleanTeenKelsey says
Mm, love the oatmeal. It looks delicious. 🙂
Heather says
oh no! can you rent a truck, or a storage unit temporarily? good luck!
Charyl says
Kath-love your blog. always read, never comment. I am one of those (LOL) I have moved 31 times in my 42 years. Heres some ideas: Have any GOOD friends with a big garage or shed? Present with bottle of wine and ask to use for a few weeks or rent a storage unit (they come in many sizes) month to month until you get the pod or move to Charlotte. Here in VA many storage units rent first month free-just move out before the second month. Even if you have to ferry your boxes over in cars (that sucks, I know) you can get your stuff out of the house by tomorrow. Best of luck! Breath…..
Sara @ myfancytuna.blogspot.com says
Ahh, this all sounds insane (insane in a bad way for the packing, in a good way for the delicious oats), but it will all be over soon! Hang it there! 🙂
Amy @ Amy Starts To Run says
