I spent the morning doing all kinds of activities: unpacking, sorting, cleaning, shopping and mowing. Matt and I walked to the grocery store for some items (I have missed every Saturday farmer’s market this summer!). Once home I tackled our field of long green grass. It was HOT.
And guess what we did!? Turned on the AC!!!! It was steamy in here by 10AM and the high was 99* so I decided it was time. We’ve got it set to 78* and I’m a little chilly with wet hair!
After the yardwork, we made a late lunch at 3:00. Handmade new bowl #2!
Matt made some Asian cole slaw while I was gone with a little sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, garlic powder and S+P.
We took the leftovers and stirred in a can of wild salmon and some leftover cilantro pesto
On the side I had cherries and some Kashis that I got on sale at Harris Teeter!
I got a ton done this morning on my list, but I still have some major things to do like prepare my talk for the Summit and finish some articles for Balanced Living + Breathe.
Excited about dinner already!

Hey girl! Glad you got a lot crossed off your to do list! Lunch looks yummy- love the homemade slaw. Its amazing how quickly you get use to the heat down here! AC makes me TOO cold most of the time too. Enjoy your night

Asian flavors ROCK! I bet that salad would taste good with some PB2 mixed it for extra nuttiness. Yum
It was 49F degrees here the other night, you’d be a popsicle 🙂

I just love productive Sundays. I am having one myself and it feels amazing to get so many things accomplished to start off a week.
Glad to see you made it back safe and sound and are getting re-adjusted nicely.
Take care Kath!

I need to snag some of your motivation. I have so much to do before I leave for Boston on Friday!! 🙂 What is your fav flavor of Kashi TLC’s?

Another GORGEOUS bowl! This summer’s weather has just been so crazy… we’re thinking about turning on the A/C tonight as well since it’s so humid. It’s weird that all these hot days are coming in August, but I guess it’s just something we can’t control. 😉

Good call on the AC today, it’s 97 here in Durham and can’t imagine being able to enjoy the day without the cool indoor air.

Hey Kath… I love that you are not afraid of the lawn mower. I’m curious, how did you and Kanz decide who’s chore that would be?

Megan (The Runner’s Kitchen),
Definitely, DEFINITELY the Honey Sesame!!! The others don’t even compare 🙂
Jessica ,
Actually Matt used to be the Mower Man, but one time I asked him to let me try it and I was hooked! It’s so fun and gives me a feeling of organization. Yes, it’s annoying at times, and hot, but I still really enjoy it. And prefer that kind of practical exercise to the dark gym in the summer 🙂
