Excited because I just turned the “no food” in my fridge into a delicious and healthy meal! It just occurred to me that not too long ago I regularly ate granola bars for dinner. Somehow, I have become so accustomed to actually cooking and eating real food that it is second nature, and I am a much happier person as a result!

The struggle is real, but so is my food! As a graduate student, I spend most of my time on campus, but I’m often running (literally) from the gym, to work, and back to campus! I want to feed my body what it needs in order to keep up with my crazy life! I focus all of my extra time on finding and eating real food because when I eat food in its most natural form I know I’m providing the best type of fuel!

With a son going off to college, I liked Tara’s entry too! He definitely won’t run around campus with lettuce wraps, but let’s hope he makes good decisions at least a third of the time. 😉
