Woke up wishing I’d had a real dinner last night instead of liquids and cookies. But that didn’t keep me from hitting the hotel gym.
A little fluid exchange, if you will. Out with the old and in with the new!! I drank 2 bottles of water while elliptically for 40 minutes and felt better.
Back in my room, I had a spa party!
EOS put some shave gel in the swag bags, and Suave gave me a full size mousse from their booth. And the Sheraton’s Bliss products are A.mazing!! LOVE the Mandarin Mint and I am totally hoarding them 🙂
I got a text from Eating Bender that there was oatmeal in the lobby and raced down!
I put together a bowl of oats topped with tons of fresh berries, a little brown sugar, some raisins, a little bit of granola.
I also got a milk for protein (which I actually went to exchange for a 2% for some filling fat) and a Tazo Awake tea
And a banana for later if needed!
Over breakfast I met Jena Wellness and the Traveling Mom over breakfast (who got us on “the list” for a cool party tonight!)
I also got this cute bracelet from posi+ivi+y for the National Positivity Movement.
Attitude is a Choice and Positivity is Contagious!
The opening keynote today featured a talk on “Traditional Media Chops Meet A New Media Calling.” Speakers included Tina Brown, Donna Byrd and Ilene Chaiken.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s a momentous day in Twitter Land!!! 1026 followers!!!
And then I went for a scheduled 10 minute shoulder massage in the Microsoft Lounge!!
After my massage I found some veggies and hummus! I had a few veggies with a few pita chips
LUNCHTIME!!! There was a huge spread of Mexican!
We managed to find a table outside!! It was great to get out of the dark conference space.
I made a big taco salad topped with just a tiny bit of each: refried beans, chicken, beef, guac, sour cream and jalepenos.
Plus this awesome cornmeal and shredded beef corn husk tamale. I ate most of the corn meal and not much beef 🙂
This lunch tasted so good because I was starving. But now I feel a little greasy on the insides.
Jenn and I split desserts again! Tres Leches and a Chocolate Silken Coconut Cake.
The chocolate was my favorite 🙂
Just a few more sessions, a keynote and a handful of parties and BlogHer 09 is over.
Megan (The Runner's Kitchen) says
A sweaty gym session, lots of water, and fruit + oatmeal sounds like a great way to recover from your party-filled night. A good workout always makes me feel awesome. Sounds like you’re learning so much! Building traffic and studying stats is one of the most interesting aspects of having a blog, I think.
