^^He has so much energy! We went to T’s soccer game the other night, and Mazen had a blast running up and down the bleachers and onto the field (in between the two small-side games).
Good thing he likes oatmeal for breakfast to fuel him up!! I made a big batch of whipped banana with peanut butter for us all.
I’ve been eating up leftovers for lunch, like this ravioli with spinach tomato sauce and parmesan cheese which I had while catching up on the second-to-latest episode of Nashville!
I had some goldfish as a snack, and we enjoyed this Cook Smarts summer soup for dinner. I used rotini instead of orzo since I had some in the pantry, and the pesto was the best part!
I was thrilled that Mazen seemed to like it too. He kept saying, “I looooove pesto” while eating!
Mommy is happy that Mazen is eating well, and also that a new shipment came from the Winc wine club! I always throw in a few extra bottles because if I’m going to have to sign for wine at the doorstep, I want it to be worth it. (Of course, the 30 minutes I leave my house is always when they try to deliver the signature-on-delivery packages!)
I love Winc because they have so many creative bottles that are great to take to parties — So This Happened…. is one of my favorites
Along with their #TBT series that are Instagram-themed 🙂
I only get the lowest priced wines ($13 level) and this bottle of rosé caught my attention — so pretty!
And I got some more of these single serve rosé cans that I love. (PS. I just learned how to do the é on my keyboard so I don’t have to Google rosé each time and paste it in! It’s option+e and then another e on a Mac!)
What will you be sipping this weekend? Something cold I hope!

I always buy wine based on the bottle, probably not the best way to choose, but I can’t resist! It’s supposed to be super rainy here all weekend, so I’ll probably just be home sipping lots of tea, but a cozy low key weekend sounds pretty great to me right now!

It’s raining here too – boooo!

Your family is so healthy, can’t believe Mazen likes oatmeal for breakfast. When I was a kid I hated it – I found it so tasteless. Or maybe it was because my parents didn’t know how to prepare it with the right toppings!

Growing up, I always had congee with fried gluten and shredded pork or century eggs. Is that not what they also do in Hong long?

Dad and I drank Cape Codders last night and I may make them again. We’ve got too much cranberry juice on hand from some occasion or another. Also whisky sours or another lemonade-related drink. Too much lemonade leftover from the Sunday I was in charge of Lemonade on the Lawn at church.

I LOVED your instastory of Mazen running to tell you “Mommy!!! Thomas LOVES you!!” Cutest thing ever.
Haha, I definitely pick my wines based on 1) price range, and 2) prettiness of the label! I’m sipping lots of Rioja Crianzas right now. My hubs and I just got back from our honeymoon in Spain, so we’ll be on a Spanish wine kick for the next few months!
KathEats says
Awesome! I would love to go to Spain!

Hi Kath
I love the bottle of wine with the woman on it. Could you please tell me the name and brand? I really want that bottle. Lol Thanks!
KathEats says
It’s the 2016 Funk Zone Rosé from Winc!

On a mac you can also just hold down any letter you want to accent for an extra second and then tons of accent options will show up. Same goes for the iPhone 🙂

è !!!!!! I had no idea!! Thank you!

There’s an even easier one (I think) for typing é (at least on European keyboards): press the apostrophe key (next to ENTER) and then e. I prefer not having to press two keys at once!

In Asheville this weekend for our first family trip there all together, so we sipped beer, beer, beer! Spent a lot of time at our current favorite, Burial. Creative brewers and delicious beers!
Claire had a blast playing with other kids and just hanging outside. I love breweries and wineries that are kid-friendly!
