We had a great 4th with somewhat mild temps (compared to last year!) We were lucky this year that it started downpouring as we left the parade.
Simple breakfast of eggs, toast, and peach.
We decorated our golf carts and headed to the parade.
Zinc sunscreen fit right in with the white theme : )
The theme this year seemed to be floats on floats because there were lots of flamingos and birds on top of golf carts!
And every year there is a great pirate ship!
We got caught in the rain heading home, but look at the rainbow that the rain brought with it!
Second closest holiday to Halloween over here. I have no idea how much sugar was consumed, but it’s tucked away today – at least until some healthy foods are consumed.
Post-parade beach walk. I was sporting my white sunscreen theme too!
Quick sandwich + chips lunch prepared by expert sandwich maker, Thomas.
We spent the second half of the day out at the beach.
I feel like I’ve gone through a bump growth spurt this week! I’m wearing my tankini with the tight side up for support and the loose side above that. I like the flexibility!
Showers + RWB clothing + make up!
We headed to the club for their big picnic where they had music, kids activities, and a huge buffet. Mazen wore his bathing suit and went down the waterslide 100 times.
Meanwhile, the men waited for food in a reallllllly long, hot line.
It was delicious though – especially the cornbread muffin!!
We took some pics – same as last year – before we headed back for kiddo bedtime.
Because of said looming bedtime, a certain almost-6-year old refused to participate in the family pics. He’s just outside of view frowning on the ground!

Haha, happy 5th of July indeed, Kath! And wow, that is a LOT of candy in the photo you posted! Enough to rival Halloween, that’s for sure!

For zinc sunscreen that goes on clear, Beautycounter’s is wonderful. Zero white residue, completely clear, and not greasy. Comes in regular lotion, a mist, and a face stick. We also have badger but my kids all fight for the beautycounter and ask my husband to take one for the team and use it up and not buy it again (which I won’t).

haha @ “he’s just outside of view. frowning on the ground”! Sounds like normal kid behavior to me! It’s so funny–now that my son is all grown and in college, I find little kid “meltdowns” both hilarious and relatable. I’m always on the side of the kid. LOL! They’re not funny at all when you’re the mom going through it, though!

I try to pat the mom on the back and tell her “I’m just glad it’s not me this time.” 🙂 #solidarity
