Sleepy morning
I couldn’t sleep again last night. I think this week is just too overwhelming for me! So much to do, and so much on my mind – like the mold that was under Matt’s chest freezer at the old place and wondering if it is on any of our other stuff? [Note the chest freezer is now in the yard waiting to be sold/Goodwilled/trashed depending on clean-up ability]
I was awake and 4:30 and didn’t fall back asleep until 6. I came down to do some blog reading (my Google Reader has been totally neglected since the most!)
I’m feeling pretty run down today. Maybe today I will be able to take a nap. My schedule is much clearer than yesterday.
I have a brand-new loaf of Cville Crunch, so I dressed that up for breakfast with Barney Butter, banana (sliced not smashed!), flax and coconut
With coconut tea
So fun to find new places for photoshoots!
Hope you all have a happy & fun day.

Breakfast looks delicious at the very last and I’m SO jealous of your backyard space!!
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
I hate when I can’t sleep. Girl, I feel your pain! It is the worst! But naps always cure it for me (as long as they are not toooo long. Heh).
I am a fan of toast with a nut butter-so filling and delicious.Yours looks simply scrumptious. Oh and cheers to getting a nap in for you today! 🙂

At least one good thing will come out a poor night of sleep last night–> u are going to crash like a baby tonight!
Holly @ The Runny Egg says
Sorry to hear you haven’t been sleeping well — that stinks.
Angel7 says
I do not like it when I do not get sufficient sleep, which is how it was for the past week for me. I kept waking up each morning with a sinus headache. I found that the culprit was the dust on our ceiling fan above our bed, which I call fan dander (LOL) :). So, I cleaned the fan, and have not had a sinus headache since–YAY!!!

Mmm, coconut tea sounds fantastic! Hope you can find yourself a little time to rest today. Feeling rundown is never fun.
Anna @ On Anna's Plate says
I’m always the same way– when things are busy or hectic in my life, my sleep kind of goes down the drain…which sucks, because that’s when you need good sleep the most! Hope you get some soon!

My sleep was also on the bad side for the past week, so I went to an acupuncture session yesterday, and slept like a babu after that!
Rosa - Fitness, Food, Fulfilled says
I hate how no sleep makes you feel the next day. I’m not sure how I’ll be able to handle having a baby at some point.
I love that plate! So colorful and the greens are gorgeous!
Wendy says
I know you’re not really into bleach, but pure bleach will make the mold disappear almost magically. Since mold isn’t something to mess with, it might be worth consideration. Good luck!
Jessica says
I must agree! I’m not nearly as green as kath or a lot of other people are, but I still AHTE bleach… the smell, the burning chemicals, ugh. However my Husband and I had a big mold problem in our last apartment (its why we moved) and good ole bleach and water was the only thing to take it and the musty smell away.
If anyone knows of a green product that REALLY works for mold I would love to hear about it 😀
Jessica says
HATE* :*)
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
Cute plate!! <3 it!!
Candice says
Love the table!! We moved exactly one year ago and I remember not sleeping for a bit. It’s super stressful, even if you don’t feel you are, your body does. Hoping you get some rest today!
Sarah Lienard says
Your crockery is almost as pretty as the food on top of it!
Deva @ Deva by Definition says
I had one of those nights, too. It was chilly in the house and one of the cats wanted to snuggle and chase toys around at four this morning. I am so happy there is coffee and tea.
Hillary says
That’s how I felt yesterday. By mid-afternoon, I felt like I was going to collapse!
Cathy says

If you could somehow (magically) make your chest freezer appear in my NYC apartment so I could have more food storage I’d love you forever 🙂 Haha
katie @KatieDid says
That distressed wood is so perfect for food photos, I wish I had something of that sort in my house. Hope you start feeling better!
Elisabeth says
I didn’t sleep well either… it took me forever to fall asleep!
Amanda says
We had a mold problem with our chest freezer too. After reading the manual we learned it need 3 inches of air space on all sides. We cleaned the freezer with vinegar (it kills mold better than bleach) and placed the freezer up on pallets. It isn’t the prettiest, but it was a free fix and we’ve had zero problems since the change. A little airflow goes a long way 🙂 Good luck!
Wendy says
Ah! I’ll have to try vinegar since bleaching is scary (my bathroom doesn’t have a fan so the ceiling gets mildewed easily). Does it matter if it’s cider or white or other?
Amanda says
I always use white.
Shayla @ The Good Life says
Hope you’re feeling better soon! Lot’s of rest should help…especially since a nasty bug has been going around and wouldn’t want you to get it!
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
mold is my #1 life nemesis!! YUCK. be super careful — my husband had terrible mold poisoning from a wet carpet it festered in and was so sick for a long time. don’t take any chances.
Shaya (Eye Girl Eats) says
I love the look of the wooden picnic table as the backdrop to your food. It’s a lovely contrast!
Good luck catching up on Reader– it’s always so overwhelming if you leave it for too long!
Ellie@fitforthesoul says
ahhh I feel ya on this one. Last night I didn’t get good rest either b/c there were tremors here. There have been many quite often actually. But I will not let it ruin my day! And I love your shooting spots!! The woodsie ledges give the photos a nice homey feeling. 🙂
Victoria says
I would recommend doing some yoga to aide your sleep, if you can fit it in. Relieve some tension and calm your mind. Sometimes it seems like the more tired you get, the harder it is to relax and sleep deeply.
Liz @ Southern Charm says
Love that mug! Anthropology, right?
Hope you get some sleep!
Amanda @ AmandaRunsNY says
ummm, what is this coconut tea? it sounds delicious!

I hate it when I can’t sleep! Puts me in such a mood. I’ll reiterate my vote for naps! 🙂 PS: the toast / banana combo kind of looks like a flower, with the vines coming out of it. Pretty!
Jodie says
What are the benefits of flax & other add ons like quinoa etc?
Hannah says
Stop taunting me with your bananas. 😛
