Celebrating once more with a farewell brunch at Gram’s!
We were woken up this morning by the fire alarm at our hotel – at 9am! And we were still asleep. Luckily it was a false alarm, but it still forced us to get up and dressed, so we headed out to Goucher College for more walking. I clocked it on Google maps as 1.5 miles around, which we did twice. A great workout for me!
I ate the rest of my Great Harvest Trek bar as breakfast, but since we woke up late and were due at Gram’s, I saved a trip out for breakfast for brunch.
Brunch was a lovely selection of sweet, savory, fruity and crabby!
We’re hanging out here for a bit before we hit the road south!

There is nothing better than Gram’s cooking; I have very fond memories of my Grandma and all of the goodies that she would make. She loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking and the day she passed away at 90 of a heart attack, there were warm pies found cooling when she was found. I know that she died happy doing what she liked most. The only thing that gave her more pleasure was spending time with family.
Happy Father’s Day Matt and enjoy the rest of your day Kath!

i have such a love/hate relationship with brunch! usually i wake up quite hungry, so it’s hard for me to wait till 10-11 am to eat. then i stress over whether to get breakfast food or lunch food! lucky you have a grandma who cooks both 🙂

We just ate some blueberries for an after dinner treat.

That brunch looks delicious! Haha and at least the alarm wasn’t super early in the morning, although I’m sure for some of the partiers that was a rude awakening!

Brunch looks great! Glad the fire was just a false alarm!

The words “fire alarm” make me cringe! Freshman year of college, I was caught in the shower during TWO different fire alarms in my dorm! Not to mention, I go to school in Western NY where it’s freezing most of the year, so running outside with wet hair, shower flip flops, and whatever pajamas I had with me at the shower is not exactly the most comfortable thing. Oh, college…

Brie, berries, and carbs? Sounds like a good meal to me 🙂
