Hi from Florida!
Our flight was FREEZING cold, but we each got a little sleep and lucked out with an empty middle seat between us.
I sipped on some OJ during the flight which tided me over to 9am breakfast in Orlando.
SB&J, clem, cappuccino
Our next flight leaves in an hour and when we arrive I hope it’s hot outside!

Glad that Leg 1 of the trip is done…and that the next leg brings you to paradise!
And I’m with you….why are flights SO COLD? I mean could they turn on the heat just a little…anything short of icicles is appreciated 🙂
A Teenage Gourmet (Sami) says

Mmm that SB&J sandwich looks amazing.Like a few others mentioned above, I’d love to know what kind of jam you used. Also, I love all the scribbles on your Starbucks cup haha, it looks like mine does!
Kris says
If you’re heading further south, I’m sure it will be plenty warm since it’s been so warm all month in FL. I could use a little break from warm weather, but the beach was beautiful (and crowded) yesterday, so I can’t complain too much about sunny FLorida 🙂 Have a great vacay!
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
i love starbucks sugar free peppermint!!
safe travels the rest of the way 🙂
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says

Gah SOOOO jealous!! I could definitely go for a warm getaway right about now! Enjoy yourself!!
Susan H. @ the food allergy chronicles says
You found coffee! Perfect with your SB&J sandwich and clementine. So smart to bring along your own snacks and splurge on the coffee.
Roxanne says
Some airports don’t allow food brought in from home, they actually throw it out!
I don’t agree with this because not everyone can eat crap (oh did I actually say “crap”?) that the airports offer!
There’s nothing there for me….. except black coffee.
Shannon @ My Place In The Race says
Almost there! Coffee always helps too 😀
Simply Life says
you two definitely deserve a week OFF- ENJOY!!!
Roxanne says
I see palm trees…..
TeenyLittleSuperChef says
Oh man, 80 degree weather sounds so wonderful right now. Not this 40 degree rain and no sun for the past 7 days kind of crap that we’ve been experiencing. Oh well, that’s Oregon for ya. Hope you have a great trip! Remember to wear your sunscreen 🙂
Jenn says
do you get clementines in your stocking? my mom always packs them in every year 😛 levi loves them now too.
Jennifer says
It should be in the low 80’s down there right now. I can’t wait to hear exactly where you are going. You guys both really deserve this vacation. 🙂
Paige @ Running Around Normal says
My parents are headed to Florida on Saturday! I hear it’s nice and warm 🙂
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
Part way there is good! Taking your own food is the best idea every. Airport food is way too expensive and not usually good.
Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning says
I would bet that if you packed that sandwich from home, the jam was “according to Daniel.” 🙂
Having that middle seat empty is the BEST! It rarely happens to me and Greg, but when it does, it makes all the difference!
Safe travels!!
Kristabel says
Enjoy your well deserved vacation!
Erin says
I’m wondering why you ordered sugar free syrup in your coffee. You are so focused on real, whole foods, so what’s your reasoning for choosing artificial sweetener?
KathEats says
I have it about twice a year – usually at Starbucks. Got one pump of peppermint but it was actually really gross. I just can’t do sweet coffee anymore.
Hannah @ eat, drink, and save money says
Should be warm! We live about an hour and a half south and we have had a crazy warm Christmas. Have fun!
Rebecca says
Looking forward to vacationing vicariously through your posts! Enjoy!!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
I MUST be low on caffeine for the day because all I want is to dive into that coffee! YUM!
Kathy S says
Umm… did you mean “arctic” or is your title a play on words that I’m missing?
KathEats says
Umm….ultimate typo of the year!? Going to change it!
Angel7 says
Please send some sunshine up north, Kath — must have some Vitamin D 🙂
