Idid it! I got up and did 20 minutes of Sunrise yoga 🙂 I have this DVD and really like it: Yoga Zone: Sunrise & Sunset. It’s very easy (mostly stretching!) and great for beginners who like a quick routine. I love that one is for morning and one for night. I also have this box set and like it a lot too when I’m really in the mood (which you all know is rare 😉 ): Yoga Zone Ultimate Collection. I am really going to try to start and/or end my day with a little yoga stretching in the coming weeks.
And here’s to a fresh breath of oats!!
Whipped banana with wheatberries, raisins, Banana JamFraka and Smuckers Natural.
Plus mmmmmm –
Having my house back together inspired me to clean, clean, clean this morning!!! I cleaned things that I haven’t ever cleaned before ( 😳 )
Two comments:
1) Mrs. Meyers Geranium All-Purpose Cleaner made cleaning SO ENJOYABLE
2) The extension pieces on my vacuum cleaner are amazing. The little brush thing with suction in the middle? Awesome for cleaning baseboards and “dusting” hard to reach areas.
Since I am going to Cardio Funk tonight, I get to shower and get moving earlier than usual on Sundays since we usually run outside. I think I’m headed to Trader Joe’s and EarthFare next. Then lunch, then Organic all afternoon.
Happy Funday!

Happy for you. I think I will have oatmeal instead of my sunday eggs.

Great job on the yoga – enjoy the rest of your day!
BethT says
Don’t you just love grocery shopping? And going to multiple stores? My hubby doesn’t get that 😛
VeggieGirl says
I ALWAYS start my day with yoga – it’s so revitalizing and calming 🙂
And I always start my day with oatmeal, as well, haha.
Happy Sunday!!
Amy says
glad your beloved stovetop oats made a comeback! yay 🙂
i love smuckers all-natural pb. its so salty and thick! yum.
have a good day kath !!

I’m glad you got to enjoy stove-top oats today! They look delicious.
I always want to do yoga but end up getting really bored =/ Maybe it’s my DVD
Lee says
I find that there are two camps. One thinks that Meyer’s Geranium cleaner smells heavenly and the other that cannot stand it. I’m in the cannot stand it camp. We have it at work and I can smell it like five offices down the hall. I wonder if they make other scents though. I like the idea of organic cleanser.

BethT ,
YES – I love grocery shopping. My husband doesn’t get “the hunt” either 🙂
VeggieGirl ,
You’re such a role model 🙂
Amy ,
You’re right – it is very salty. Tastes like Resee’s to me! I like it for a change from other kinds that are sweeter like the Butter Toffee and roasty like Barney.
Shelby ,
I get really bored too, which is why I say I only have to do 20 minutes. 20 flies by and then you’re done! I’d love to do an hour in the morning, but that’s just unrealistic for me and my attention span, so I figure 20 mins is better than 0.
Lee ,
LOL. Have you smelled the Basil scent? I like that one too and it’s not as strong.

Woohoo for your normal oats back!
I know, grocery “hunting” is so fun. Hope you find some good buys!

Kath, you had to know I’d be excited about the YOGA!! 🙂 Woohoo! Veggie girl, I didn’t konw you did yoga? I love you even more now. 😉
Kath, I gave you a little shout out on my blog yesterday for cranberries. Have a fun day, love the new stove and as always LOVE your blog.
XOXO and I promise you wouldn’t get bored if you came to my yoga class. 😉
Nellie says
yoga + oatmeal = a great way to start a sunday!
Lauren says
I don’t know if you saw my post last night, but the spiining song was from your jan 2 post.
Also, your oats look so voluminious, what proportions do you use?
Do you find on the days you eat less oats and something like granola you are really as full since thats less volume? Have a good day!
Courtney says
Yay for yoga! It always makes for a great day.
runjess says
My baseboards are in dire need of cleaning, and now that I know I can do it with my vacuum extension, I just might. Thanks!
Jackie says
Your oats look amazing! I get so many good ideas from you. What is banana jamfraka?

I’m glad you had so much fun cleaning! And it’s nice to see you back to making stove-top oats again, I feel like we have Happy Kath back 🙂

YAY for oats on the stove!
Oh She Glows says
haha reading you say ‘cleaning things Ive never cleaned before’ made me think of what things I havent cleaned…haha. Don’t worry we all have them! I’m so bad for not cleaning behind ‘hard to move’ items like stoves and fridges…

I would love to be able to exercise first thing in the morning, but if I try and I haven’t eaten anything I start seeing black and white fuzzies and get mega dizzy. I guess I’m just so used to getting a big breakfast before any physical activity. Weird.
Hangry Pants says
Yay for yoga. I am glad you found a DVD you like!

The brush attachment is great for cleaning lampshades, too.
I’m with you on Yoga…I go in spurts. I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately. Maybe I will start again, too.
Missy (Missy Maintains) says
Your oats look so creamy! Yum! That put my egg white quesedilla to shame!
I think maybe I should try yoga at night before bed. Maybe it’d help me not eat so much at night!
K says
I’m just catching up after being away from the blogworld this weekend…I love your new stove, it looks great in your kitchen!! Glad to hear it made a great batch of oats 🙂
Erin says
That is my favorite Mrs. Meyer’s scent! I also really love the Basil one – it’s SO fresh, you should try it! Love the handsoap!
claire says
hooray for a new stove! Right now I’m really enjoying the free yoga videopodcasts from yoga journal
Rachel says
I’ve been thinking about getting some good yoga DVDs, so thanks for the tip! I will have to check those out. I’m not used to working out in front of my TV, but I think it’d be a good habit to get into, obviously.
And congrats on your new stove! I’m excited to see new oaty blends that you come up with… NOT in the microwave!
coco says
it’s great to do yoga first thing in the morning!

Yay, new stove!

I had a microwaving disaster with my oatmeal yesterday and it made appreciate my stove so much more.
Congratulations on finally having it delivered!
Kath says
polly ,
Yoga (and cranberries) are yummy!
Lauren ,
I am still having trouble finding the post – can you send me the link?
I do think my volume of oats affects my satiety (a huge bowl of pumpkin oats holds me the longest, I think) but since I usually add back wheatberries or granola, it evens out enough.
