Have you heard about Jamie Oliver’s campaign for an American Food Revolution? There’s no doubt we need one – a Real Food one! I love what he does with the schools already. He’s working on a petition to send to the White House. Sign here if you like!
I’m off to attempt a Food Revolution myself! [Although actually, today is another ServSafe day so the Revolution will have to resume on Monday 😉 ]

I love Jamie, 😀 he’s such a down-to-earth chef and it is always a pleasure to watch him on TV. But although I have against him for starting such a (much needed) initiative to transform the American school lunch system, I’m a little worried about the flack he might receive from unwelcoming antagonists (“A British sticking his nose into someone else’s business”, etc.) 🙁
awesome breakfast, as always, Kath!
megan says
I’ve had a french press for awhile, but I’ve actually never used it! I don’t think I understand what type of coffee to buy to put in it…can you help me??
Kath says
They say coarse grounds, but I just use regular old coffee and it works perfectly.
Paris Food Blague says
I think there was a NYMag headline about Jamie Oliver’s food revolution…something like “Fat Americans Make Jamie Oliver cry”. Oh dear, I’m a little ashamed.
But it’s a great idea and everything!
Bonne journee!

Definetly a good thing!! He’s made people more aware, PLUS he’s so cute and funny and his children are ADORABLE!! Have a good day 🙂
Paige(Running Around Normal) says

Tammy @ Defining Wellness says
Kath, what do you find is the perfect amount of granola to put on top of your oats? I’m on the quest for the perfect bowl of oatmeal, and who better to ask than the Queen of Oatmeal herself. 🙂
Kath says
It depends on the surface area of the container! I put less in jars, more in bowls. I usually just cover the top layer of the middle.
Tammy @ Defining Wellness says
Thanks a million! 🙂

I have loved Jamie Oliver ever since the beginning of The Naked Chef, and have followed all of the amazing thing he has done in the UK for school lunches and making kids/families healthier. I am so excited that he is bringing his work over to the states, and I can’t wait to see his new show! Teaching kids how to eat healthy from the get-go is soooo important, and I think we should all do anything we can to do so. You’re work is so inspiring, the best of luck!
