Anyone feeling a little sleepy this morning?
We are still catching up from our weekend away.
But the garden thrived while we were gone! M and I picked some kale and herbs for our dinner last night. Funny he will eat kale straight from the garden but has no interest in using a plate and fork.
Last night’s dinner was so good and super easy! I made Cook Smarts‘ Mediterranean Chicken Bake. We fell off the Cook Smarts wagon for a while, but when I’m stumped about meal planning I always go back and never regret it! This recipe was so simple -just top chicken breasts with artichokes, capers, tomatoes and herbs and bake for 20 minutes. Top with feta and serve with salad. For our greens I massaged them in sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, a dash of Dijon and salt and pepper.
This morning we had eggs, cherries and a toasted roll. Mazen was excited for day 2 of summer camp!
Let’s talk about shoes for a bit!
I LIVE in Toms – they are one of the few brands of shoes that I can wear without socks and never get blisters. Plus there are so many colors and styles now! I know the aren’t the most supportive, but I don’t have problems walking miles in them. Should I not mess with a good thing and just update my older style?
These embroidered Toms are so festive! And these too! Maybe I should try the Ballerina flats?
I think I’m looking to change it up a bit though, and am in need of some super comfortable shoes for walking around Charlottesville in the summer. Notice I said walking – heels no can do! (Little wedge, maybe). I have to be able to walk miles in whatever I choose. I also have wide feet, so there’s that.
These are my dressiest walking shoes right now – they’re super comfy and have that sparkle that I can dress up or wear with shorts. (They’re the Born Joya style.)
I’ve heard a lot about Tieks – are they as comfy as everyone says? But the PRICE TAG! Love the Silver Lake.
My friends were over last night and said there are many comfy flats for half or 1/3 the price. Zappos overwhelms me!
Ellen says Reef makes some really nice flats (I think these are cute! And these!), but she swears by her Banana ones.
Hillary got these for her trip to Europe and says they will be great for walking all day. She also says the Gessica Ballet Flats have been great.
And speaking of all-purpose shoes, I just bought these for Mazen last night at the recommendation of a few friends! Cute and very practical for a toddler! But I will say, he loves his Toms too! (Calls them his “tongs”)
Tell me: what are the most comfortable (yet stylish) summer shoes you own? Which ones should I get?
Megan says
I am a teacher and always need comfortable but cute shoes for work in both the cool and warm months. I also have a 10 month old, and we take tons of walks, and I don’t like to be schlepping around in gym shoes. I am tall, but I do like a bit of height to make me feel more polished and sexy.
So, I wear Dansko sandals (similar to the Dansko Joanie, but brown) and Dr. Scholls “dance” sandals; I have two pairs of those, (one backless in black and the other with a back in turquoise).
They are all equally comfortable!
Jill says
Oooh – I will definitely be reading the comments for more ideas! I’m currently in need of some flats. I’ve got great shoes (heels) for work, but I’ve been sticking with my Chuck Taylors and flipflops for stuff like the kiddo’s soccer practice and weekends. I need new ideas! We put our two boys in running shoes most of the time, but my 2 year old is a huge fan of his rubber boots, and his second-hand Crocs. Toms are super cute on kids! I found that mine fell apart quickly, so I haven’t replaced them, but I did wear them a lot 🙂
Kathy says
Tieks are totally worth the price! I have three pairs and and want more. You will not regret your purchase.
Ashley says
I love love love Birkenstocks. They have metallics and cute styles so they can be made dressy in a casual town. I have a standing desk at work and have no issue when I wear them (my work is casual!), but my flats usually leave me with an aching back.
Allison says
I know their “style” is debatable, but I live in my chacos in the summer. They are sturdy enough for hours of walking, unexpected trips to trails, and dry quickly if they get wet. Flats for everyday wear, just isn’t my thing, not for outside an office anyway. I spend most of my summer in casual shorts and t-shirts,’so the chacos are just fine. I save flats for actually getting “dressed” date nights, girls night, church, etc.
also? I live in montana, where….chacos are stylish. Bonus.
c says
A second for Chacos. I live in these from April – Sept.
Megan says
As a total shoe hound who walks miles every day in the city, I adore my Bensimons. I have two pairs (the “tennis elastique sneakers” and the “tennis ballerina slippers”) and both are comfortable, but the “tennis elastique” style more so. I am considering an embroidered pair of lace ups for this summer too. They are a Parisian brand, but can be found on shopbop.com which has free 3-day shipping and free returns. Happy walking!
Linda @ TheFitty says
I definitely wanted to sleep in this morning. Do you sleep well on humid days? I don’t!
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul says
I can’t pull the trigger on Tieks! They’re so pretty but so pricey! I’m a TOMS girl through and through!
And all I can say is thank goodness for coffee this morning!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine says
Those Toms are so cute! I don’t own any…I’ve heard they run wide and my foot is super narrow :/
Carly says
I have the same problem, Rebecca. I have one pair that I love – they are canvas with kind of like a tie string at the back which I think helps to keep it on my foot (like this http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/toms-bimini-youth-chambray-slip-on-toddler-little-kid-big-kid/3221677). All the other slip on styles are just too wide.
Bethany says
I have a narrow foot and haven’t had any problems with my Toms. I am normally a size 7 1/2 so I sized down to a 7. The classic canvas are my favorite, but I also have two pairs of the ballet flats. I love them all.
Nicole says
I love, love, love my Born mai sandals and Birkenstock gizeh sandals! I live in both all summer and I too have wide feet.
Meredith says
I second Ellen on the Reef suggestion, I have multiple pairs but this one (http://www.amazon.com/Reef-Womens-Summer-Coral-Diamond/dp/B00DOELH8I/ref=sr_1_23?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1433862011&sr=1-23&keywords=reef+coral) is my favorite. The quilted padded footbed is seriously THE BEST, I take it out and put it in other shoes too!
Hillary | Nutrition Nut on the Run says
Those greens from your garden are gorgeous!
Jenn says
Tieks are worth the investment. Buy fewer, high quality shoes that will last and can be paired with many things. I vote for Tieks over sparkle or cork sandals!
Kate says
Bucketfeet shoes are amazingly comfortable and they have some awesome designs. I also have slightly wide feet and these fit great. They are also 30% off on nordstrom.com right now!
Sagan says
Those greens = yum!
My most comfortable shoes are a cross between my Jimmy Choo ballet flats (I bought them four years ago and wore them almost every single day, all day long, for three straight years – never had blisters from them and they LASTED too! I got them half price and they were still a fortune, but totally worth it. I’d get them again!) and my Rockport pumps (these guys I can walk in for at least an hour before I get to that point of wanting to sit down. A little pricey, although not as much as the Choos 😉 Love that I have comfortable summer walking shoes that are also heels!).
Cheryl says
I used to primarily wear Birkenstocks but now mostly wear Toms. I also have wide feet and found that the men’s Toms are a wee bit wider. Can’t get sparkles, but I have found some cute prints. I have also found that it’s worth it to spend the money on Toms. I have wasted money buying knockoffs but they are not the same. I also toss my Toms in the washer and let them air dry when they get gross. I have a pair of sanuks that are ok, but the toms have a bit more support.
Terri R. says
Skechers GoWalk (I have GoWalk 2s) are my favorite! I can walk forever in those shoes and my feet/legs never get tired. So many colors & color combinations to choose from too. I wear them without socks.
Christine says
Merrells are my favorite summer sandals! Definitely confortable and worth the investment!
Kerry says
Tieks are worth the money. I own 5 pairs! They are the most versatile shoe. I am a fan of soludos too – a hipper version of Toms. I have narrow feet, so Toms don’t work for me.
KathEats says
I can’t believe you guys that own 3 and 5 pairs!! I guess you love them!
Liz @ I Heart Vegetables says
Ohhh I wanna hear more ideas! They’re kind of expensive but Pluggz makes some nice dressy ballet flats that I wear a lot at work. They’re sooo comfy which is hard to find in a dress shoe!
Sarah says
I love these: http://www.teva.com/women-flip-flops/olowahu/6840.html?dwvar_6840_color=RPK#start=5&cgid=women-flip-flops
I order a new pair every summer (usually on amazon because free shipping). They are the most comfortable flipflop I have ever worn.
Alisha says
I love my birkenstocks for sandals. I have a metallic and they’re a teeny bit dressy. For a casual shoe I’ve heard raves about the new Toms sneakers!
Alexandria says
Love my Chacos for everything, dress them up dress them down. Also, for a bit fancier occasions, my Dansko sams are great.
Johanna B says
I will never give up my Birkenstock sandals. I’ve got several pair and many are several years old. I don’t think Birkies ever wear out.
AJ says
Clarks! All the way! For walking their shoes and sandals are the best. You can get some good deals on Amazon. They are leather, I can’t wear plastic shoes or my feet sweat. Those canvas shoes have no support for walking, nor do those gold flip flops. A good sandal with a back strap and a comfortable, supportive footbed. I bought some Sketchers walking shoes and was so disappointed, the fabric gave way in a few months! I have Clarks that I’ve had for 6 years and they are good as new.
Chelsea @ TableForOne says
I love Sperry’s for walking!! They are so classic and can be paired with jeans or with a cute sundress.
AJ says
These are very like the ones I have. Super comfortable and you can adjust the toe and back to really fit perfectly.

My most comfortable and long lasting shoes are made by Eliza B. Design your own bands, heel size, colors: http://www.elizab.com/category/EB-San.html. I’ve had some for almost 10 years!
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
I got some knock-off vans type shoes at Target this summer and am OBSESSED with them! pretty cheap but so perfect for walking around!!
Katie says
That picture of Mazen is adorable!!
Kath, I’m curious how many eggs you eat for a breakfast like that?
I have a pair of Tom’s desert wedges (more of a fall/winter boot) that are the comfiest shoes ever even with a high wedge heel. I’ve never gotten their classic style but have considered it! I definitely have to wear the little tiny socks with shoes like that though; otherwise, my feet feel icky (anyone else?).
KathEats says
2 eggs!
Liz says
I live in my Birkenstock Gizeh sandals in the summer. I need to order a different color because I love them so much. I have a metallic silver colored pair that has lasted 4 summers and are still in great shape. Definitely worth the price and they are SO comfortable. I have bunions and can walk miles in my birks without pain.
Claire says
Advice- I have super blister feet and also have wide feet (and a big first toe). I love my Clarks flats, as they have arch support too, and they are around 70-100 for a full leather pair. Their “Indigo” line is more stylish, but they have some streamlined and simple, not clunky ones in the main line too. Durable, have both pairs two years plus and they are still ticking along. Good sales.
Cook smarts question- we are vegetarian and j can’t seem to find the info on their website about a vegetarian-only menu. Is this a thing? Does someone else do this? I want to get on that bus!! Thank you!
KathEats says
Yup they have a vegetaian choice for every meal plan. Try the free trial!
Kristin says
I bought a pair of Tieks couple months ago. I really wanted to love them, but they just weren’t that comfortable (particularly for the price!). Such a bummer! I’m loving the new patterned Toms though!
Elisabeth says
I LIVE in Birkenstocks in the summer. I have about a dozen pairs & won’t spend my shoe money on much else. I am also a clinical lab scientist in a hospital & on my feet all night – I’ve worn professional Birkenstocks for the last 10 years & never have foot pain.
Alyssa says
I own 2 pairs of Tieks and am in LOVE with them! They’re totally worth it for days when I’m in the classroom teaching and on my feet all day.
Sam @ Grapefruit & Granola says
I live in Rainbows over the summer so I am no help on this topic 🙂 I can walk long distances in them with no issue but I wouldn’t really say they can be dressed up. Maybe with a casual sundress or something.
Hannah @ eat, drink and save money says
I’m not very fashionable so I’ve never heard of Tieks before today. That’s crazy expensive! I invest in at least one good pair of leather flip flops every year. Since I’m in Florida, they go with everything. I do love a good ballet flat though so I’ll have to check out Tieks if I can ever find them on sale!
Kaneil says
Birkenstocks! They’re in style right now…plus cute and comfy!
Megan says
Birkenstock Gizeh!! Amazingly comfy and stylish. You can get all sorts of colors on amazon at decent price! Just make sure you size down
Allison says
I am wearing Tieks right now and I wouldn’t really recommend them. Yes, they are super comfortable to put on after wearing heels all day, but they provide no arch support and I have high arches. I have plenty of more comfortable Born shoes. Birkenstock’s are very comfortable. Also, the Toms ballerina flats are not nearly as comfortable as regular Toms.
Becky says
I just got some new Bjorn flip flop type sandals – very comfy. I also swear by my dankso sandals. I have multiple pairs of both their sandals and their clogs and can attest to you getting your money’s worth out of the wear.
Shelby says
I swear by and live in my rainbow flip flops. I went to school in So. California and wore the same pair for 4 years. They are leather so they are super durable and I find the wider strap to be more comfortable for longer walks. I have wide feet and high arches so I definitely need support and I can walk miles in these all day long and never have a problem, the price is nice too. Just be warned, sometimes breaking them in can be painful but it’s so worth it once you get them to mold to your feet!
Carla says
I love Soft Star Shoes, a small company in Oregon (I think). They make the shoes there, in person! They are a minimalist shoe though. I love the sandals, mary janes, and ballerine. http://www.softstarshoes.com/
Jennifer says
I want to second Carla’s recommendation!!! I love my Soft Stars!! I have three different pairs (for running, everyday wear, and dressy wear) and I can’t tell you how fantastic they are. They are especially comfortable for wide feet. They are true minimalist shoes (as Carla also mentions), so you might find you have to work up to wearing them all the time, but it’s worth it. Your feet will strengthen over time. Plus, I love supporting a small company!
Carrie says
I have Tom’s Ballerina flats – I love them – they have a little more support than regular Toms. But, while I can walk for miles in regular Tom’s I don’t think I could in the ballerina style 🙂 My best friend swears by her Tieks. I will eventually pull the trigger but the $ has put me off for a while too.
Emily @ Life on Food says
That photo of Mazen sleeping reminds me of a boy I used to babysit. He could sleep anywhere at anytime.
Lindsey @ Simply Lindsey says
I grew up at the beach so I’m a Rainbows girl! If I have something fancier, I usually wear some cute flats that I got from TJ Maxx or Nordstrom Rack.
Dianne Gerth says
I wear my teva cabrillo strap wedges with everything. Yes they have a slight wedge but you can walk all day in them and dress them up a bit. They look great with tailored shorts and a loose fitting top.
Amanda says
I need to find flat shoes that don’t give me shin splints! Any tips?
Bonnie says
I understand your want for stylish shoes, but I would like to suggest that you invest in a pair of New Balance shoes for your walking ..Even more important because you walk long distances. Carry around those stylish sandals to wear when when you arrive at your destination, but support your feet. From personal experience, if the foot gets injured, or has pain from lack of support, your entire body and being suffer. Enjoy the summer. You live in such a beautiful city!
Jessica says
I am so excited for the comments on this post. I walk everywhere and it is a constant struggle for me to find cute and comfortable shoes.
Susan says
I personally LOVE Bloch flats. They are stylish, classic and comfortable.
Susan says
I also vote for Birkenstocks. The other flat I love are camper flats. I own two pairs of these, which are the most supportive flat I have owned and very stylish, too, IMO:
http://m.camper.com/en_CA/women/shoes/right/camper-right-21595-039
Elyse says
I SO want a pair of Tieks! They’re so pretty but so pricey for just flats. For lots of walking, I LOVE my Birkenstocks!
Meredith Carter says
It makes me SO HAPPY to hear I’m not the only woman who avoids heels! Unless it’s a thick, chunky heel or a wedge, I have no use for it.
Check out www.footsmart.com – they offer shoes for people will all sorts of foot problems, ankle problems, toe problems, back problems … you name it, they have it. The shoes are more expensive, but they are a worthwhile investment. I’m a big fan of Clarks myself.
Melissa Moore says
Hey, Kath! How about Sanuk sandals? Put some California in your step. 😉 Made out of yoga mats, they are worth a look. I’ve walked for miles and can practically run in them.
lea @ healthy coconut says
Minnetonka ‘Kilty’ Suede Moccasin is my most comfortable shoes right now. I walk all day with these and can spend a whole day at Disneyland feeling comfortable while wearing/carrying/chasing a toddler.
Here’s a link from Nordstrom, I ordered 1 size down because they do stretch out.

Catherine says
I adore my Tieks, and they are absolutely worth the price. I have three pair (two were a Christmas present) but I wear them to work frequently, wear them for days when I know I’ll be walking a lot but still want to wear something other than tennis shoes or flip flops. I love them.
Jen says
I used to live in Rainbows, but I need more arch support. I just bought a pair of Olukai Ohana sandals and they are worth every penny!!
Jeanie says
AGL is the most comfortable shoe ever. They are a “nicer” shoe and have some stylish flats and even shoes with a small heel that would be comfortable for walking. Brace yourself for sticker shock, though.
marcie says
I love my orthoheels! They were recommended by a foot doctor. The brand is also called Vionics. They are incredibly comfortable.
Nadine says
I have 2 pairs of Tieks, and I love them. I want more! Also, I have wide feet and foot issues.
Sarah says
Frye’s Carson Ballet Flats. So buttery soft, made in the USA, and fit like a well-made glove! I own five pairs of various Frye shoes (pumps, two pairs of flats, oxfords and sandals), and they are the best!
Alycia says
Fit Flops! They have a ton of styles and at the recommendation of a friend, I bought a pair. I have to have support and comfort since I have had heel problems. I am seven months pregnant and these have been the most comfortable shoes I wear and am on my feet most of the day since I have two little girls.
Denise says
Hi Kath, I strongly recommend Fit Flops. They are available at Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom. Among other places. I live in them. They are extremely comfortable and there are styles for many tastes. I’ve worn them for a couple years and they are great with shorts, pants, skirts, sundresses–almost anything.
Jane says
Cole Haan with Nike soles- Tali Wedge style. I work in a hospital & am on my feet ALL day long, I also walk to & from work. These shoes are pricy but have lasted 2 years. Quality & so incredibly comfortable.
Ashley R says
I LOVE my Birkenstocks (Oregon, baby!). They have a lot of styles now days. I wore a style in the office all last year and will probably do the same this summer. They have good support and last forever too!
Abby says
You’d probably never to think to look at Payless, but these flats are super comfortable! Memory foam padding and soft/stretchy outsole. I have three pairs, and walked all around Europe in one!

i haven’t read all the comments, so maybe someone has mention these already. I am totally coveting Avarcas. they are a great looking summer shoe from Spain. They come in fantastic different colors and some patterns.

Jen says
JAMBU!!! I bought a pair for a trip to Europe..the ones I bought are discontinued..but they look just like the Jambu Deep Sea in Red. Not flats, but I think they’re cute with major comfort and support. Miles and miles were walked in these, and I felt amazing.
Your sparkly Borns are cute!
Amanda says
I second Jambu! They are also sold as J-41. I have multiple pairs in various colors and styles. Some I bought online, others at TJ Maxx.
Courtney says
Tieks make me drool a little. I heard a backstory that they started out WAY cheaper then jacked up the price to be a higher-end brand. That makes me maybe not want to buy them, just in case the craftsmanship is still the cheaper shoe.
I lied, I still want a pair!
Cassie says
My current flats are KILLER to wear—so bad they’re worse than my heels!
Krista says
I live in my Patagonia Maha flats all spring and summer. They may be like the Toms, in that they don’t offer a lot of support, but I wear them all day in an elementary school for work with no problem! They’re my go to shoes for running around town and travel too. 🙂
Laura says
Whatever you do, try TIEKS!! I will forever be a coupon cutting, deal loving girl at heart but after years of wasting smaller amounts of money on flats I eventually tossed aside, I bit the bullet and now own three pairs. All other flats in my closet have become obsolete – I think they have great cushion for flats, are adorable, love the company itself and the customer service, and they will last for years. Perfect with dresses, jeans, shorts, business casual, and the ideal travel or airport shoe, they’re irreplaceable. Also around Thanksgiving if you get on their listserve they have a 25% off sale or some such discount.
Also 100% vote for Birkenstock Gizeh. Love them in leather and am living in them this summer when not in my Tieks.
Karen says
I need supportive shoes with strong arch support b/c I am prone to foot injuries, so I do consider my shoes an investment, that will pay big dividends for me. I buy Mephisto and Finn Comfort shoes, for walking and I am never sorry with my purchases. One pair of these babies will set you back on average, $300, more for the closed toe versions, and a bit less for some of the sandles and Made in America Mephisto lines. (Finns are made in Germany.) They last for years and in the case of Finn’s, I simply replace the orthotic-like insert when necessary, which cost $65. They can both be purchased at Nordstrom’s or Zappos. (Finn also owns a more stylish line, called Think, and I own several pair of those flat sandles as well. They are slightly less expensive, usually around $200 and might be more appealing to you.)
(By the way, once you narrow your choice down, Zappos is awesome – free overnight shipping. Easy peasy. Nordstroms is free shipping too.)

Live in Birkenstock Gizeh Matte Black and Lucky Emmie Flats in Bourbon year round in Charlotte! I’m looking into the Birk Mayari on Hollywood Housewife’s recommendation. She never leads me astray! I’ve had the Lucky flats for a year now and they look brand new and you can’t beat the price. I wear them at least 4 times a week.

I live in Tom’s too but for a more ‘dressy’ look I swear by flats from Sofft. They are designed to be worn all day when you’re on your feet and running around. I’m literally obsessed haha They typically hover between $80-$130 but I can promise you they’re SO worth every penny! You can find them at The Walking Company but there are waaayyyy cuter styles on their website. (http://www.sofftshoe.com/ ) Happy shoe hunting Kath!
Jenny says
Hope I’m not too late with a shoes suggestion! A couple months ago I decided I wanted some shoes that could be dressy or casual and worn without socks and found a definite winner. I bought two different pairs – some Sperry Topsiders in the Angelfish style, which are ok and cute with rolled-up jeans, and some flats from Ugg, the Syleste, which I absolutely love! They are so incredibly comfortable. I hate Ugg boots and would never have thought to look at their shoes, but I am a convert (for their flats only, of course!) Here’s a link: http://www.uggaustralia.com/women-new-arrivals/syleste/1008397.html?dwvar_1008397_color=BLK#start=12&cgid=women-casuals-ballet-flats
Bonus – there is a bit of the signature sheepskin at the heel to help prevent blisters.

You should check out the awesome shoes from The Root Collective. They are handmade, comfy, fun and no breaking in needed. Love their mission!

Always read, rarely comment…but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Birkenstocks so much I have to say something! I cannot wear most other shoes (such. sensitive. feet) but these (and, yes, Toms) I can walk MILES in. I have both the Gizeh and the Arizona (in nice metallic colors). I use a narrow for my Birks, and find that increases the comfort. Don’t give up when you don’t love them on the first wear. You need to give them a week or so, and then they become better than slippers but with all the benefits of foot, leg and back health. In the winter, I wear Danskos, and find that when with skinny jeans or leggings – they can actually look fun and stylish (I live in NY where everyone really gets dresses – even for preschool dropoff). As a frame of reference, when other say they live in Converse or the like…my feet cannot tolerate them. So, this is a comment from a real sensitive foot person. I think you won’t regret the Birks. Don’t get them on ebay, though. TONS of fakes. I use Zappos.

I have just completed my summer shopping for cute flats and the slip on surfer look.
I went with these: http://www.zappos.com/clarks-grayson-erica-gold-metallic-leather and also these are super comfortable and have lasted me several years: http://www.zappos.com/born-stowaway-ii-crown-collection-black-leather
for the surfer slip on, I ordered a bunch from zappos and returned the ones I didn’t like. These were the only ones that didn’t rub my heel with the top edge of the shoe: http://www.zappos.com/roxy-lido-iii-slip-on-shoes-black
But those Reef ones look good, too. I would highly recommend the yoga mat flip flop by Sanuk.
Melissa says
Just want to say – there is no way ever that I’d pay that much for a pair of shoes – $175?! That’s nuts! LOL
Cate says
I went through the same thing before I went to Europe last summer. I think I bought and returned at least 5 pairs before I found a pair of Sabrinas the day before I left on my trip. I found them on sale in a nude color (but same style as the link below), and I absolutely LOVE them. I literally walked miles and miles around London and Paris without any discomfort.. and I have a very flat/wide foot with overpronation, so that’s saying a lot!

These are super casual- but I love the Asics Metrowalk shoe: they’re meant to be worn without socks, and it’s a great walking shoe that looks a lot less clunky than a pair or running sneakers.

I’ve been eyeing the Sanuk Yoga Slings for summer. I love the look but not sure about comfort

I have been a reader for years but this is my first time commenting. I have lots of foot issues too and love cute shoes. It is a struggle. I think I saw a post a long time ago where you were wearing Danskos. If those are comfortable for you, you can look at their sandal line. I have a few pairs and they are cute and comfy. I have tried almost every brand of comfort shoe out there. Clarks is one of my favorites due to price range and comfort level. What works for me may not work for you. The best advice I got was by asking my podiatrist what do you recommend for my feet. He gave me a general rule which I have followed since and has helped immensely. He didn’t provide a specific brand.
Lastly, I follow a blog that is very helpful — http://www.barkingdogshoes.com/ . She frequently has recommendations for specific foot issues.
