“Hi Mom, I’m home!!”
“Hi honey! Dinner’s almost ready!”
Please allow me to post a photo recap only of the AMAZING dinner Saint Karen brought over for us upon coming home from work. She roasted asparagus in the oven and made brown rice and mushrooms on the stove-top, and I put some pre-marinated rosemary chicken from The Organic Butcher on the grill as soon as I walked in the door. Chicken has not tasted this good in years!!! We also shared a bottle of white wine. It is so nice to relax in the evenings after our long days.
I hear tomorrow night’s menu features bison!

Jenifer says
YUMMM!! What did you marinate the chicken in?
Joanna says
Yummy dinner – you are so lucky to have Karen close by.
About your video: 1) Virginia isn’t considered in the South – it’s the South! Richmond was the capital of the confederacy! Who debates this? 2) You TOTALLY have a southern accent. No use in trying to deny it. I live in Boston now, and there is no way you could pass for a new englander.
Looking forward to the Bison – I love it and am always looking for new ways to cook it.
Ashley @ Coffee Cake and Cardio says
Oh my goodness, this look absolutely amazing. I want to be a Karen when I grow up 🙂
Laura Jane @ Recovering Chocoholic says
Oh wow, dinner looks delicious. I love how you eat outside so often. We live in a townhome so we don’t have a place to eat outside. We’ve been looking to buy a house and we recently put in an offer on one (and are waiting in such suspense to see if it will be accepted – 3 weeks and counting – long story). If we get it I am most excited by the screened-in sun porch in the back! We’d be able to have a grill, an outdoor table, and we could eat outside!!
Mara says
I just saw your shining face on HUFFINGTON POST this morning! WOWZA! You are officially a celebrity I think! Watch out for the paparazzi in C’Ville I hear they are ruthless!:)
Ash @ Good Taste Healthy Me says
Wow that looks fantastic. I’ve been trying so hard to get down with asparagus and it’s just not happening.
MtnBlueBird says
That dinner looks delish!! I think I’ll put that on my menu for next week. We are finally getting warmed up and dried out here in the Northwest where we can break out the grill and start using it. Looking forward to the Bison meal. We have a local bison rancher and butcher that sells bison meat but I have never tried it. I’m sure you’ll inspire me with something fantastic!
Meredith says
Wow, Karen really is a saint! You’re so lucky, having a relative close by is the best 🙂
Sara says
Looks like a fabulous dinner – especially the chilled vino! I really love that wine, and even though it’s only 9:00 in the morning I want a glass.
