A day late and many dollars short, that was a fun Christmasy weekend!! Friday night we walked downtown as a family and took Mazen to see the lighting of the tree on the mall. We got there super early though, so we went to dinner at Mono Loco until the lighting happened. Chips were a huge hit!
I had Malbec and this burrito bowl with coconut cod and pineapple pico!
Santa was waiting for us when we came out of dinner!
I think every family in Cville was downtown that night –
YOU GUYS. I am ob-sessed with this Peppermint Bark Cashew milk from The Juicy Laundry. In fact, I’m obsessed with everything they make! This milk tastes like melted ice cream and made the perfect base for some chia pudding! No other ingredients necessary – just 1/4 cup chia seeds and 1 cup of milk.
Saturday morning I hosted a brunch for a post I’m publishing later this week. It was a blast, and we made a video. Can’t wait to share!
Saturday afternoon I took a rare nap and we hung around the house listening to Christmas music : )
Saturday night we went to a bonfire housewarming party at Hillary’s! I shared this burger with Matt and had too many Christmas cookies
Sunday for breakfast I had leftover quiche and fruit salad
And then that afternoon headed out to play some pickup indoor soccer!
Sunday evening we watched some Survivor with the girls and made this delicious Blue Apron meal – Apple Cider chicken and roasted root veggies!
I spent Sunday evening editing video for this week.
Yesterday we went to ACAC for strength class (which was hoppin’!) and then hit up the Juice Laundry for lunch. I had a spicy “Blaze” smoothie in a bowl with banana and granola on top. It was quite spicy from ginger and cayenne pepper! Plus banana, mango, kale, dates, strawberries and cashew milk. We also shared some Fig & Rosemary crackers and I bought more Peppermint Bark milk!!
Healthiest of holiday weeks to you all!

What tool do you use to curl your hair? Your waves are always so perfect and pretty!

Thanks : ) I bought this one at the recommendation of AnneP and love it! I leave the ends straight and curl away from my head.

I had a feeling you guys were at the tree lighting Friday night! I was in town with my girlfriend and we went to dinner at Zocalo and walked there just as the lighting had ended. Must have just missed you! Glad you guys had a great weekend!
KathEats says
oh fun!! We were there : )
Jessica says
Who are you rooting for on Survivor?
KathEats says
Oh gosh hard to say!! Ellen, Hillary and I all picked our winners from the start – and we picked Jeremy, Spencer and Kelly W. We can’t believe they are the top three left! Jeremy is my pick to win, and I hope he does, but I’d be thrilled with a Spencer win as well. Not too keen on Abi or Kimmy wining, and I like Tasha so who knows! Kelly is a great player, but she’s not my favorite for some reason. But I’d still be happy if she won!
