Thanks to the freshly milled flour, our bakery’s carbs are like no other. They have a wonderful, slightly sweet, very fresh doughy essence. And this morning that’s all I could think about!
Yogurt makes the perfect breakfast base for anything – and I’m loving that it’s clean-up free. In the winter my stomach wants a huge bowl of filling oats, but in the summer I’m more content not turning on the stove and with a lighter yogurt bowl topped with CRUNCH.
Today it was all about the cluster. I topped a cup of Whole Foods organic low-fat plain yogurt with blueberries, Cville Cluster Granola (the bakery’s!), a crumbled Oat Berry Muffin (the bakery’s!), Nat. Nutty CV Sunflower Butter dry clusters (from the bottom of the jar) and chia seeds. Cluster heaven!
Also – so convenient to have leftover coffee already brewed and chilled for me in the fridge!
Treat yourself to something small and fun on this Monday!
Cait's Plate says
Oh boy – this yogurt bowl puts my morning’s yogurt bowl to shame (and I thought THAT was good – so I can only imagine how good yours was!)
Love that place mat every time you feature it – I need to start getting some better ones 🙂

Clusters are the best part of the granola! I love them! The only problem is that I pick them out as soon as I get a bag of granola so then I’m stuck with the loose granola. Hmph. What a problem… 😛
Krissy @ Shiawase Life says
Yay! Happy good morning, despite the dreary forecast!!!
KathEats says

Hi Kath – I’ve been a long time reader and this is the first time I’ve posted on your website. I’m a huge fan and I just wanted to let you know that the Open Sky ad with your face on it is on Drudge Report’s website. I just had to share the cool news. Have a great Monday!

Kaci and I will definitely be enjoying GH cheddar garlic with the spicy plum chutney today!! 🙂 We also sliced some cheddar garlic and 9 grain to share with one of our best friends. BTW we took the cheddar garlic loaf down to Donna, and she seemed so surprised and incredibly happy to have received it from you guys. 🙂 Have a great Monday! We miss Cville already! haha

I’m seriously drooling over your yogurt bowl this morning. Yum! I also wish that we lived anywhere near a Great Harvest but there isn’t one in the entire state of Florida! I know it defeats the purpose of eating locally, but do you guys ship your products?

I wouldn’t mind treating myself to some GH doughy-goodness on this Monday morning, though…my gluten allergy would probably mind 😉
Khushboo says
Yogurt bowls with granola and fresh fruit make the perfect summer breakfast! As much as I love it, I think it will be a while before I can handle warm oatmeal.
Marissa says
Mmm; I’m craving something cold and crunchy like that. Too bad I finished off my latest batch of (burnt, lol) granola yesterday! Might have to have cereal for lunch…
Sarah@The Flying ONION says
What a cute post!! Your place setting made me smile. 😀
And I’m so enjoying my morning dish of yogurt, and I love all the cluster crunch going on in your bowl. I may need to copy this for tomorrow’s morning meal. 😀

Your breakfast looks fabulous! I love a lot of crunch.
Does each Great Harvest bakery have the same items or are they different? I’m dying to try that granola and wonder if the location closest to me makes it.
lynn @ the actor's diet says
i love granola CLUSTERS. sometimes i start picking them aside in another bag for myself.
Abby says
Thanks for the reminder with the quote. I forget this far too often. 🙂
Heather @ Health, Happiness, and Hope says
Love all the textures again in this mix! I often prefer clusters over normal granola when mixed in yogurt just because it keeps its “crunch” better and longer!
Lauren says
HELP!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHICH ARE THE HEALTHIEST OATS TO EAT??
Are they steel cut, old fashioned, or what? I don’t care about taste — I’m trying to lose weight so I want the HEALTHIEST option? I’m about to run to the grocery store and I am totally clueless!
Thanks!
JessicaEN says
Steel cut, old fashioned and quick oats are different in how small they are cut/processed. (I think?) I don’t think one is necessarily healthier than the other, but one might keep you full longer, or you might have a taste preference. I’d say try them all and see what you prefer 🙂
KathEats says
Agree with Jessica! They all have the same nutrients. Just don’t eat sugar instant oatmeal packets.
Lauren says
Awesome, thanks Kath! I have seen you on the NYPost.com website – you are such a celebrity! Good luck!
Lauren says
Thanks, Jessica, too! I just bought steel cut oats plus some Chia seeds – excited!
