Here’s a generous taste of some of our meals from this week!
Starting with last Friday when we went out to dinner as a family date night. Matt and I sipped cocktails, and Mazen had his own – club soda with a splash of lemonade.
Commonwealth continues to be one of my favorite restaurants – this jumbo shrimp dish was top notch! Served with green mango and coconut rice.
Boy verses Broccolini
After dinner we got gelato at Splendora’s. Someone was excited!
Salted caramel…gaaaaahhhhh
We’ve been living off of light summer meals that aren’t that sharable these days! I need to get back into Cook Smarts meal plans this fall. But summer is so unpredictable that we keep things spontaneous.
This crab cake came from the city market, but instead of eating it on the spot on a white bun, I took it home and made a salad. Loved it so much more!
Yogurt with summer berries has been my favorite breakfast this week. The more varieties of berries the better! A little granola and almond butter on top.
Another day I made overnight oats in a jar because I needed breakfast on the go. I was going from gym to pick up Mazen and straight to the dentist, so I packed this to eat after my shower. The usual overnight oats mix plus blueberries, banana and almond butter.
Matt and I kept dinners light using up lots of veggies from the garden and market. This one was a cheese and pepper omelet with an okra and tomato saute on the side flavored with turmeric and other spices.
We had lunch at Whole Foods while picking up our groceries for the week. Kale salad with fish and sauteed veggies (and a taste of mac and cheese!) for me and pizza for him!
We had a playdate at Sarah’s for dinner that night and I brought over the Whole Foods Lemon, Pine Nut and Currant Arugula pizza – epic!!
It’s time for some more piggy playing!

Yup!!

I’ve got a similar material, large rug with a white pattern on it and the white parts are starting to look dirty from being walked on. Any tips for cleaning a rug like this? I think it’s too big for the laundry.
