Taking an Olympic break to blog 🙂
I’m sorry to have to report another mystery recipe tonight from the cookbook list. It was very good! While the flavors were amazing, we really needed something else with it to beef up the volume. Perhaps some rice or more veggies on the side. I knew I’d have room for dessert 🙂
So an hour and a half later I had some Harris Teeter All-Natural ice cream topped with TJ’s High Fiber Worms 🙂
For fun: a pretty martini the husband made –
Not sure if I mentioned I’m reading Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand, but I’m REALLY enjoying it. Witty, intriguing, beachy, female and modern – what more could you ask for!?
Can’t wait to watch some gymnastics tonight! Good thing I am able to sleep in these last few days so I can stay up and watch them live. I’ve turned into quite the night owl! I always have a love/hate with the Olympics. Sort of the same thing with all the information (and blogs!) on the Internet. I want to absorb it all, but it is SO time consuming!

I would love to do the Komen Race with you but I actually hurt my knee last week- (as you can read about on the blog too!) I see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to figure out if I can still train. If I get a gree light to train then I will sign up for the Race with you!

I’m new to the blog and I’ve seen you mention mystery recipes a lot…what do you mean? What makes them a mystery? I’m dying to know!

I love ice cream topped with cereal! I like to top vanilla ice cream with Cheerios, it is such a yummy combination!
Foodie (Fab and Delicious Food) says
Katie ~ The recipes are a mystery because they are going to be included in a cookbook and therefore Kath can’t say right now what the ingredients are or how she made the meal. We just have to wait for the cookbook to come out! Hope that answers your question!

I am reading Barefoot at the present time too! Go figure. I am a 1/3 of the way into the book and so far am really enjoying it. I think I will be checking into some other books by Elin Hilderbrand in the near future after I finish this one of hers. It’s a wonderful weekend or beach read 🙂

I also need to try that cereal/ice cream, or in my case, cereal and soy ice cream!

This mystery dish is especially mysterious!

I love to add cereal to my ice cream, too!
I add up to a cup of puffed rice cereal every time I have ice cream…it adds such a small amount of calories but it adds a lot of volume:)
ModelBehavior says
The mystery recipe looks like the parchment fish method, parchment squash and kale perhaps?
Can’t wait for the cookbook!

Elin hilderbrand is my FAVORITE author. All her books are great. I loved Barefoot. The Beach Club is my second favorite as well as the Love Season. I’m about to read Blue Bistro followed by her new book.
