Man was Gossip Girl good!!! It always leaves me wanting to dress up and drink some champagne. At the very least I painted my nails a sparkling teal [the color of this placemat!] last night
Welcome back CHIA SEEDS! I have been out for weeks (months?!) and just replenished. They really make oatmeal complete.

- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Pinch salt, sprinkle cinnamon, splash vanilla
- 2 tbsp wheatberries, stirred in at end
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese, stirred in at end
- Cinnamon almonds
- Coconut
- Homemade crunchy peanut butter!
Speaking of martinis, my Easy Brie-zy Mac ’n Cheese Parfaits are live on the 30 Days, 30 Ways with Macaroni & Cheese Blog!

Looks like the sun is shining there–jealous!!
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
Haha…I love it that there is a blog devoted solely to macaroni and cheese!
Kelly says
Yuummm Brie! I did something fantastic with Brie last night too. You should show off your nails on the blog. I always neglect mine so I make sure to get a shot of them for the blog so I can feel good about taking the time to do them, even though I will inevitably screw them up in a day or two.
Jessica @ How Sweet It Is says
The mac and cheese parfaits are so cute!
Samantha Angela @ Bikini Birthday says

Love the name of your mac and cheese! I am caught up on netflix through season 3 of Gossip Girl and really want to watch season 4, but I can’t find the first 6 episodes to watch online! It’s killing me that I can’t be in on the action and see what’s happening!
KathEats says
Oh gosh, I remember those days. THE SUSPENSE!! Watching the season straight through was one of the highlights of my life.
Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
Yes-Gossip Girl was awesome!!! I don’t know about you-but I am sort of liking the Dan/Blair thing they are setting up. When it comes down to it, I’m a total Chuck/Blair fan, but I think Dair has some crazy chemistry. Can’t wait to see where they go with that!!
KathEats says
I definitely think something happened over break..
Gracie says
The whole Dan/Blair thing is driving me LOCO. And not in a good way.
Dimple Snatcher says
Dan/Blair?!!!! Now, that is a terrible idea!! Everyone on that show ends up sleeping with each other.
*SOB*
Jenny (Fit Girl Foodie) says
I still want Blair to get back together with Chuck. They make such a cute couple 🙂
Kristy @ KristyRuns says
Your oats always look so amazing. It’s true…chia seeds really do make the oats! They’re perfect in most everything to thicken a dish up.

That green mug with the spoon rests is adorable!

cathyb@brightbakes says
right now my fav color is definitely that teal! I have a old-timey baker’s cupboard that’s painted that color and it totally has brightened my winter days 🙂 As for the chias….I agree, oatmeal is incomplete without them!

AAAH! Was there a new Gossip Girl last night? I’m in Australia so we don’t have it up to date… might have to scour the internet for it…
Meagan says
That is definitely one of my favorite bowls of yours!
lauren @ spiced plate says
I need to try chia seeds!
Laura Ann says
I love chia seeds in my oatmeal too! I recently read that for the nutritional benefits, they need to be first soaked awhile in water to make a gel prior to cooking/eating. Do you know anything about this?
KathEats says
No, I’ve never read that they HAVE to be soaked. But they are fun when soaked and gel up and that might make them more effective at hydrating.
