We were awoken to a “tap tap tap” at the door this morning. At 8 O’clock and still asleep!
It was Andrew with two coffees claiming we “needed to get our bowels moving.” Ha!
I groggily sipped down some OJ that he retrieved from the breakfast room as well. I am not feeling well this morning!! BLAH WINE!
We are lucky to be staying at a really neat Residence Inn! It’s a complex of suites fit with full-size kitchens. Not sure we’ll be cooking any meals here, but it sure was handy to be able to assemble breakfast on the spot and eat on a plate
My bread plate was incredible! Whole Grain Goodness from Great Harvest Charlotte topped with a mashed banana, Nuttzo blobs and Pear Fig jam (which says “refrigerate after opening” but since there’s only a little bit left I just brought it anyways – although we DO have a refrigerator!)
Blah hotel coffee
We’re going to do a bootcamp of sorts after we digest to get some activity. There are tennis courts here and we might run some laps around the complex with the cousins.
The wedding is going to be at an amazing cliffside chapel about an hour away – we’re departing around 11:30 and the ceremony is at 1:30. I have already been briefed on the Bourbon Pecan wedding cake!!

Great breakfast! and the bootcamp idea sounds so fun – I once tried to do a bootcamp..the rain and mud made it near impossible!

I hope you feel better after that breakfast! Getting food in my belly always helps me to get over the feeling of having had too much to drink the night before. 😉

Too bad all hotels don’t have full kitchens. When I travel, I usually bring food and water for convenience, to save money, and to have healthier options. That wedding cake sounds dangerous!
Brittany @ Bee Louise's Bites says
Bourbon Pecan…bless them haha
Have fun at your wedding! Hope the weather is beautiful 🙂

Have a great time at the wedding. I love hearing about southern traditions, like drinking Maker’s Mark and eating Bourban Pecan wedding cake. New England is so different, which makes me want to take a trip to some southern states.
I love staying at places like the Residence Inn. We stayed at one in Quebec the last time we went skiing, which would have been perfect for bringing our own breakfast and lunch supplies. (But we were on a road trip and didn’t plan ahead. Next time.)

Hotel coffee is awful… but at least you have fig jam! The wedding cake sounds incredible… have fun and feel better. There seems to be a cold going around the East coast according to my Dr… I have one too.

I love staying at Residence Inn, it’s my favorite of all the Marriott hotel chains 🙂
Have fun at the wedding, I’ve never had the cake you’ve mentioned…curious to see what it looks like and excited to see more pictures from the wedding. Since I’m planning my wedding, I’ve been breathing and living wedding stuff lately…I like looking at other pictures of wedding and get ideas on what items I can personalize for mine.
