I’ve gotten to spend some fun time with family and friends today!
Per usual, I was running late this morning but still wanted to stop into Great Harvest to say goodbye to Matt. I finally left at 10:00 and got here at 12:30, just in time for a hello to my family before I walked downtown to meet my friends for lunch.
Becca and Kirst!! It’s so nice to catch up with old friends 🙂 Becca is 8 months pregnant with her second baby girl and Kirst is about to start nursing school at Duke!
The Saratoga Grill is the best restaurant in the world. Upstairs, small town with fabulous food.
I’d had my heart set on the salmon since last week!
I got it grilled on a salad with some cheese, veggies and their delicious strawberry dressing
Saratoga is famous for their scones!! They are just like they are in England. I ate half and gave the other half to Becca, who was eating for two and didn’t get one with her burger!
I walked home with Kirst and then hung out with my Aunt Pat, who is visiting from New York with her guide dog, Buscemi.
Isn’t he darling!
Miss Lillian is NOT happy that there’s a dog in the house and has not come down in two days. She has declare she’s staying upstairs in her penthouse until he’s gone.
At least Ducky is keeping her happy!
My parents are having a dinner party tonight with some friends and Aunt Pat, so I’m excited!! Tomorrow we leave for Baltimore.
Remember: if KERF goes down for some reason, seek out Twitter @KathEats! I may be moving hosts again tonight.
Also, please note that KERF is way too slow for me to respond to comments. I’ll get back to answer>ing questions when she gets her groove back.
Later!

Lillian is such a lovely cat, especially with her duckie to keep her company :-). It looks like you are having a great time with great food. Good luck with the possible server move – I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!

This is my first time commenting! Fun. I just had to chime in here because of that scone photo (uh, yum). My favorite scone recipe is in Vegan with a Vengeance – it’s (sorta) healthy, dairy-free and easy to customize. Just a tip for anyone lookin’ for a tasty treat to bake at home…

My mom’s cat feels the same way when we bring our dogs to visit. She sits up high and stares at them and sometimes she hisses too.
BTW your salad looked amazing. I love fish with salad. A nice combo.
Cousin Crystal says
Hey, it’s mom and Boo on KERF…that is so cool. I must say Boo is mighty photogenic. Hope all is well in NC. 🙂

Glad to see that after all the BS, KERF is operational! Looks like you’re having a lovely time.
