^^^That song’s been stuck in ma head all day! We just caught the Frozen bug : )
Our first stop on our outing today was Zoe’s Kitchen for lunch. I love their salmon kebobs, which mom and I split, along with some Greek salads and a chicken pita pizza for Mazen.
Our next stop was Sephora so I could pick up some more facial sunscreen. I came out with their complete sun safety kit! It comes with all of these great SPF-filled samples for just $32. Can’t wait to tuck them in all of my bags and purses.
Our final shopping stop was Toys R Us. Mazen went a little bonkers – I think this was his first time walking around. Grammie said he could pick out a toy, and we came home with the Peppa Pig Camper. He took this very seriously, and we could not get home fast enough!
Matt picked up ingredients for dinner and made us all an amazing feast!!
BBQ chicken, dilly yogurt potato salad and grilled zucchini and squash.
The potato salad was excellent and is one of our favorite simple recipes – we just boiled red potatoes and added lots of Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, a touch of mayo (optional) and fresh dill. Please salt and pepper to taste.
We will be sad to say goodbye to G and P when they leave tomorrow! M loves all of his grandparents.

One of my favourite memories with my Grandma was doing that exact thing – going to Toys R Us and getting to pick out a toy to bring home. We’d do it once a year at the end of every school year, and it was always so. friggen. exciting!!!
Mom says
What a fun tradition! I may have to borrow that one.

I love how serious Mazen looks with his toy! Also, that is my go-to potoato salad recipe as well. I put Greek yogurt in/on just about everything!

Yes I want to build a snowman!! I love that movie! And that song!

I love Mazen’s look of determination to get home after a successful Toys ‘r’ Us trip. So cute!
Linda @ TheFitty says
Can’t build no snowmen in weather like this around here! Way too hot. 🙂

What a yummy summer dinner! What do you season you chicken? Do you grill it and then slather with bbq sauce?
Christine says
and I can’t type, lol “what do you season your chicken with?”
KathEats says
Yes we used a combo of spices (like chili powder and paprika) and then slathered the BBQ sauce on while it cooked on the top rack after flipping. Then Matt reduced the leftover sauce so it was food safe and thick to put more on top.
Christine says
Sounds great! Thanks so much!

M looks so grown up!!! Amazing how quickly time goes by!

Yum, all of your meals look great! I definitely agree with you about the Frozen song, it has the ability to be on repeat!
Cassie says
This potato salad recipe sounds great- I usually hate it because it tastes like Miracle Whip. I am going to try this!
Melissa says
That face!! SO serious! LOL.
I am so glad my six and a half year old is over her Frozen obsession…it was a long sixish months.

Kath, I know it was mentioned in a previous post and you asked for company names. I got a popup for L’oreal across my screen and a pop up for Vail (as in the CO vacation spot) that was on the first pic of this post.

Thanks

That pizza looks delicious!
