Everything is running slow this morning but me!!! Uggg!!!
1) My computer updated last night and was off this morning, creating a 2 minute delay.
2) We have no internet (I’m on the neighbor’s signal – thank goodness I can get it!)
3) The Eye-Fi is unresponsive again so I had to upload manually
4) My computer fan is going 1,000 RPMs a minute and thus my computer is very slow and I have to sit and twiddle my thumbs for 30 seconds every time I click the screen.
Perhaps these are all related!?
But c’mon technology! The only person that is supposed to be faster than a computer is Dwight K. Schrute!
I was at the gym by 5:45 this morning. Warm weather makes everything easier! I did 30 minutes (hard minutes today) on the Stepmill, 10 on the ET and 15 lifting: biceps, shoulders, delts on the aerobics step , pushups, pullups + squats. I whizzed through them all, working hard but only going until my muscles were sore = 1 set of 15-20.
Breakfast was a bowl of cereal and yogurt with peanut butter! I loved this post by The Hungry Yogini about how she plans breakfast around a spoonful of peanut butter. I am the same way! Believe it or not, I used to totally dismiss the world’s obsession with PB. I could take it or leave it. I’ve never been a big fan of PB flavored things. But now….my gosh….I am obsessed with nut butters.
So this bowl has about half a cup of TJ’s Greek (all I had left 🙁 ) with:
- 1/2 cup H2H
- 1/2 cup AgavePlus granola
- Spoonful raspberry preserves
- Tbsp flax
- A few walnuts
- 1/2 small banana
- Spoonful TJ’s PB
I wish I’d had more yogurt because this bowl wasn’t all the way filling. The calories come close to 500 though, so it’s the same nutrients as usual.
Half cup of Georgia Pecan
We found out last night that Clinical is canceled tonight! That certainly makes my week better. After today’s back-to-back midterms I’ll be putting focus on packing for Africa (I leave Saturday!) and getting some assignments started/finished that are due after Spring Break.
GUF!! If blogging took this long everyday I WOULD NOT BLOG! What is UP with my computer being so slow!
Have a good humpday!
zestycook says
Sorry to hear about your technical woes yet again… breakfast looks great! That is good news about clinical!!
VeggieGirl says
Haha well hey, that last video post I did?? Remember that the video took EIGHTEEN HOURS TO UPLOAD – talk about not wanting to blog 😉
Hooray for no clinical!!
Mara @ What's For Dinner? says
UGH technical difficulties stink!!! You might want to run a hardcore virus and adware check on your computer… a lot of issues can be fixed by getting rid of spyware!
Courtney (The Hungry Yogini) says
Hahaha thanks for the shout out girl! Someone left a comment on my blog that day that they use oats as a vehicle for nut butter…couldn’t agree more! Have a fabulous day and I hope that technology gets on your side soon!
Danielle says
Isn’t that the worst when you’re ready to work on something and everything goes wrong, or takes too long!
That’s so great you don’t have clinical today, good luck on your midterms!
Michelle says
where in africa are you going? for what?
joyful says
Ugh! I hope everything speeds up by the next time you blog!
Kailey (SnackFace) says
Arg, I get so frustrated with my computer when it’s in a bad mood like that. I love the cereal breakkie, though! GOOD LUCK with the back-to-back tests today!
Erin says
I did not understand the nut butter obsession until recently. Now I can dangerously annihilate jars!
Sarah says
Good luck on the midterms! Sounds like the count down to Africa is on. Too cool!
brandi says
good luck with the tests and all the computer issues – they are never fun
Your raspberry jam looks like a squirt of ketchup! I was so confused for a minute 🙂
Kara says
Ahhh I feel ya on the slow computers. I am currently contemplating whether I should buy a new one now or wait until I graduate.
Weekly Bite says
Slow computers are the worst! At least your class was cancelled 🙂

Good luck on the midterms! Sorry about all the computer issues!
Emily says
Sorry your computer is running slow this morning. Mine actually updated last night also and sounded like a train this morning (the fan was going a mile a minute!).
I’m also a huge fan of nutbutters now…coming from a girl who refused to eat pb and j growing up. Funny how things change.
Lisa D says
Glad you jumped on the Peanut Butter! I’ve always loved it, especially with chocolate. I think this is the first time I’ve seen you eat anything but a delicious oat concoction for b-fast. Good luck with the computer-Lisa D.
Janna says
Hi Kath!
Breakfast looks delicious as always.
Just a question for you. I’m from Canada and I read quite a few food blogs, and am always tempted by the delicious things I see on there. However, lots of those things aren’t available here in Canada 🙁
So…of all the healthy food bloggers out there, do you know if any are from Canada?
Thanks so much!
sue says
i’m not a big fan of pb flavored things too (i used to trade away reeses pb cups when i was little- what was wrong with me?!) but i can’t get enough of pure nut butters- yummm!
fitforfree says
I love your placemat!
seelee live (for the love of peanut butter) says
Hey Kath, it’s time for an apple-macintosh! 😉
I loooooooove peanut butterrrrr!
Rose says
So sorry you’re having such trouble with your computer. There is NOTHING worse when you’re trying to blog!
I totally agree with you and the HY about peanut butter. I plan my life around that little spoonful – and I’m so glad you gave us readers the tip to keep it on the spoon. That has kept me loving oatmeal for months now!
Amelia says
Sorry about all your computer problems! LOVE all your Office references though! 😛
Beadie @ What I Ate Yesterday says
Sorry for the computer problems 🙁 Hope you have a good day anyway!
rhodeygirl says
the peanut butter princess once said take it or leave it?! oh the shame!!!! 😀
(but i was the same way too, in face i hadn’t ever tried peanut butter until i was 18!!!!)
niecy says
I love the Office reference!! 🙂
And I can completely relate to your frustrations. If there is one thing that I am NOT, it is patient! I try, but I think it’s our generation, haha.
Lori says
That bowl of cereal looks like it has wonderful textures in it! Yum!
Danielle says
Tech trouble is the worst… good luck!!!!
Sharon says
Love your crunchy mix.
eatingRD says
I know what you mean about tech troubles. My motherboard fried and I have to send it in to HP to fix it and I’m missing it really bad. At least you still have your computer, right? Have a good time on your trip! What an experience.

oats are never complete w/o even the smallest dollop of PB 😉
Moran says
Sorry about the computer troubles!
The bowl looks so yummy and crunchy!
Biz says
I am with you on slow computers – drives me insane!
Call IT and they say “reboot!” WTF? You went to school for computers and that’s all you are going to say?
Wow, Saturday will be here before you know it – so excited for you!
Sarah (lovINmytummy) says
I think that I have the same issue as your computer this morning, i.e. running slow. “Gah!” is right.
Hallie says
Ah hate computer troubles! We have three laptops and only one really works…which causes some issues when I’m a blogger and he’s a student 😉
LOVE cereal/yogurt bowls…I’m all out of cereal! Must replenish today…
Shawna says
I was just given Trader Joe’s Soybean butter as a gift – we dont have TJ’s in Canada…it is SO good but dangerous for me to have in the cupboard! I need reasons NOT to eat it. I am a big fan of P2B!
Julie says
I used to hate peanut butter! When I was little I tried it, didn’t like it, and never ate it again until about a year ago. Now I am officially obsessed with all nut butters!
haha Biz – I hate when IT guys say that. I call and tell them my computer is slow and they either say “gee I don’t know what that is” or “reboot”. I hate that!
Sarah (Tales of Expansion) says
despite all the tech issues, you still managed to get that spoon of preserves so perfectly nestled into your cereal. thank goodness we don’t have to rely on computers to actually make our breakfasts!
K says
Heheh Dwight!! I hope you kill your midterms today and good luck packing 🙂
skinnyrunner says
good luck on the midterms, cute kerf bowl
kate says
it’s funny (like interesting funny, not haha funny) that you said your breakfast wasn’t totally filling today. my oats have been letting me down lately! they usually include banana, milk, water, flax seed, and PB, and sometimes get trail mix or a bar on top of that! (i try to do about 450-500 cals.) but i’ve been getting hungry at like 10am! (i eat at about 7:30.) what’s up??? i’m killing my work snack drawer just to get to lunch!
Jess says
I don’t plan breakfast around PB, but sometimes I plan lunch around PB and dinner around bread.
Diana says
There really is nothing worse than a slow computer! So frustrating!!! Ahh!

I used to not be a big fan of PB either! Now my breakfasts MUST include them or it’s not really breakfast =)
Foodie (Fab and Delicious Food) says
I love having cereal with a banana. I just had Cheerios with a banana yesterday! So good!

Good looking yogurt mess you have there. PB & J in yogurt is one of my faves.
