I’ve been meaning to put some of my blog photos on canvases for ages. So much beautiful food! Recently Easy Canvas Prints asked if I’d like to do just that in exchange for a post of the finished product.
Behold, the KERF collage!
I tried to choose just one photo. I really tried!! But I just couldn’t. So I chose a ton! I squeezed in all of my favorites – oats, beer, burgers, kale, sweet potatoes, more beer, berries. I’m SO happy with how it turned out! I love photos as artwork – and squares!
I also have had nothing hanging above my blogging center for a year now. Now I have something – very appropriate if you ask me!
I haven’t gotten much accomplished today – but I guess that’s what days off are for!
Lunch was a blast though –
Leftover slider!!
With bleu d’auvergne and some of the Dr. Pete’s Praline Mustard Glaze. Heavenly combo!
Pile ‘O kale from the garden! We’re nearly out of greens and the garden is overflowing with weeds
I topped them with coconut oil and coconut. I couldn’t taste it too much, but it was a nice twist. The ketchup was the star, obviously.
Wouldn’t be summer without…
Almost time to dance
!
Jessie says
It certainly wouldn’t be summer without a little watermelon 🙂 Nice photo collage!
Lisa @ Sunny Seed Stories says
Your photography is truly gorgeous! I want one of those canvases too! 🙂
Holly @ The Runny Egg says
The collage is so nice, although it looks so tiny up there — you should get some more!
The little dancing guy is too cute.
Jen says
Beautiful canvas! But I think maybe lower it so that it is closer to the computer. It seems so high up on that big wall.
KathEats says
There was already a hook on the plaster wall – I didn’t want to re-drill!
Twyla says
I thought the same thing…it’s worth re-drilling I think.
Jillian says
Ha- I thought the same thing, and I also do the same thing Kath did (hang stuff where there is already a hook). Unfortunately, though, my ocd tendencies sometimes cause me to keep staring at it until I move it..
Mom says
I was thinking the same thing but as her mom am being careful not to nag. Glad about the hook, Kath! LOVE the canvas.
jane says
lol-good job resisting, mom! My mom tries not to nag as well but I can always tell when she wants to and gets so antsy I just have to call her out on it! 🙂
Mom says
Fun! I think kids start to figure out their mothers the second they are born!
Rachel says
My first thought, besides loving it!
Donna @ Life of a Happy Blonde says
That collage is lovely!!! You need to put a little collection up there maybe smaller individual photo ones, i just adore all the photos you take, especially the beer ones 😉
Angela (Oh She Glows) says
Beautiful collage! We just ordered a few canvas food prints for the kitchen…I’m so excited to pick them up! They tend to go on sale on Groupon in our area a lot 🙂
Johanna B says
It does look tiny on your wall. The canvas is great though. I would love to have something like that to hang in my kitchen. In fact, I wouldn’t mind having a print of yours to hang in my kitchen. I’ve been looking at food prints online trying to find something and so far nothing I’ve seen has jumped out at me til now.
Cait @ Beyond Bananas says
Wow those canvases look amazing! If I could photograph as well as you, I’d want to hang it up as well!
Lauren @ Lawfully Wedded Wife says
The canvas is so beautiful! What an awesome idea!
Cait's Plate says
Gah – I keep meaning to do the same thing with a bunch of photos I have! I’ve seen so many groupons come through for photo canvases and I never remember to actually get them.
That is absolutely the best thing you could hang over your blogging station (which I LOVE by the way! it’s so cozy!).
Hope you have a good time at dance! Pretty soon we’ll be seeing YOU on SYTYCD 😉
Baking N Books says
You had me at the pizza.
That is beautiful! Do they send to to you or something when you pick out what you want?
And days off are for that – to do what you want! – dancing included 🙂
Laura Jane @ Recovering Chocoholic says
I love canvas. Seems like the perfect thing to hang above your blogging space! I think it would make me hungry, though. 🙂
Shannon @ My Place In The Race says

Love that canvas! Soo cool, Kath! And good idea on using coconut oil on the kale! I am running low on olive oil and might try that out.

Did you know that ketchup was sold in the 1830’s as a medicine? I kind of think it still is in its own way…esp. on oven baked sweet potato fries.
Ash @ Good Taste Healthy Me says
Watermelon is AMAZING! I absolutely love it!
Maryea @ Happy Healthy Mama says
Love the canvas collage! What a cool idea.
Krystina (Organically Me) says
Beautiful collage 🙂
Sonnett says
i like the idea ofthat collage and your photography is truly deserving of such displays!! you should invest in a few more in different sizes and add them to that one to make a collective ensemble on that wall … i think it will look super funky. My opinion . . . . do something similar for the bakery too at some point? the baked goods and the collection you have of the GH baked goodies already will look so nice on a large canvas in the store…. and who knows, maybe GH Head office might supply all the stores with your art – now that will be awesome 😉
have a nice chilled day
