Deck the halls…and the doors, mantel, and tree!!
This weekend was Deck the Halls weekend, and all of the decorations came out to play.
I took Mazen to get a tree first thing on Saturday morning. {At the time, pretzel sticks were way more exciting…}
She’s a beaut!
I love these two little trees I bought from Grandin Road for the front porch. They light up cordlessly with batteries.
I ate two good breakfasts this weekend. Eggs with Pepper Jack cheese, toast, and a pear.
And then French toast with bacon and grapes.
Lunches were a mish-mash of leftovers and salads.
And then for dinners, I ate cheese.
Christmas parties are in full swing, and I went to a party each day this weekend. I am feeling it this morning, so I’m making this a super healthy week. Cutting back on sugar and alcohol (and cheese!), and amping up home-cooked meals.
These oysters were so good!

Beautiful tree! I especially love those two little ones by the front door. Little touches like that are my favorite thing when decorating my own home. I never do the entire house in lights, but it’s fun to have little pops of color and lights that neighbors can see from the street 🙂

Ah that cheese plate looks to die for. I want to recreate that for one of my holiday parties!
Love those trees!

Hooray for Christmas! Our decorations went up on the weekend, I made myself a hot chocolate with Baileys and put them up while I had the flat to myself. I will have a real tree one year. Also feeling the start of the Christmas parties, need to focus on eating well while I can!

I wish I could only eat one piece of french toast and one piece of bacon.
