There are huge flakes falling from the sky!!
The forecast had just said snow showers/rain for the past few days, but Cara announced at dinner last night that they were saying we might get a dumping. Guess we’re getting it! Prediction: 1-10”. In all honesty I hope we’re closer to one inch than ten!
When I left for the gym around 11:30a it was just sprinkling rain. I drooled on the pages of BH&G for 45 minutes on the elliptical and looked up to see white on the grass! And slush in the parking lot. I ended with some quick lifting, took a detour home to Main Street Market for chicken, turkey & eggs from the Organic Butcher and bread from Albemarle Baking Company.
On my way home the sleet turned to flakes!
I have been having HUGE cravings for eggs lately due to the fact that we’ve been out of them for about a month! Before we left for Montana I didn’t want to buy any because we’d be gone for so long. And then I was very excited to get them this week and I FORGOT them on my grocery list!
Craving crunched.
Scrambled egg sandwich on whole grain bread made with 2 farm-fresh eggs, salt, pepper and JAM. Jam makes everything delicious.
On the side, a fru-fru spinach salad with cinnamon almonds, pear, and Cherry Balsamic vinegar (from the Boston Olive Oil Co)
All served on a new swatch of fabric from Fabric.com – I’ve got a new set design!
Currently sipping on Candy Cane Lane and trying to figure out how to get around the huge camel cricket in my basement so I can change the laundry…
Meg says

Do you want to hear a horrible story? A camel cricket jumped on my lips late one night when I was sitting on the couch. I had just performed in Little Women the musical so it sort of ruined my actor’s high. I thought I was going to die.
KathEats says
AHHHHHHHHHH

I can’t lie and say your lunch looks delicious…because I don’t like eggs. But I do like the fabric! 🙂
Funny you used cinnamon spiced nuts today, because that’s what my morning post was about 🙂

Eggs are da bommmmmbbb!!! I can’t believe it’s so cold there! Not to be an arrogant pain in the rear–but it’s hard to believe it’s so cold b/c in SoCal it’s so~neutral and actually very nice today. But it’s always pretty much the same weather and no difference in the seasons. But hope you have an awesome day Kath!
Cati @ crave and create says
Ugh, camel crickets are horrifying, aren’t they? It’s so creepy the way they jump at you! My sympathies.

I DESPISE camel crickets! One of my professor’s actually brought one to class last semester to show how to overcome phobias because she was using me as an example. I of course had no idea this was going to occur until she pulled it out from underneath her podium in a gladware container! I almost had a heart attack. lol

Get yourself a cat. We get those camel crickets all the time up here in NoVa, and my cat… eliminates… them quickly. On the downside, I do find cricket legs lying around sometimes which is gross.
