Love your oats meal dish! Beautiful pics this morning 🙂
Happy Oatmeal Day!
Sarah @ going on goals says
Great pictures! I love waking up to oats in the morning! Could you do a post explaining the different types of yoga and your reviews of the different types?
Christine says
Oh! I like this idea! Please do, when you get a chance.
Kath says
I could try, but I think google could describe them much better than I could. I don’t even really know myself. Just that I like vinyasa flow the best. Ashtanga is a series that starts with flow and ends with twisty bendy postures. It’s the best I can find right now!
Sarah @ going on goals says
Vinyasa flow is my favorite too! Though, I have found the instructor makes all the difference! Even though yoga is all about relaxing, for some reason I really like an instructor that can make you laugh.
Cara Craves... says
I am going to take my oatmeal and turn it into a pancake!
Enjoy your yoga session.
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Yumm looks great. Happy Oatmeal Day – and Happy Friday too! Have fun getting your yoga on! 🙂
Tina @ Faith Fitness Fun says
I got my first flu shot this year since I’m pregnant. That sucker HURT! Not the actual shot, but my arm was sore for days after.
Hope you have a great yoga class. 🙂
Amy K. @ onehealthypeanut says
BOLD is my favorite too! What a beautiful bowl of oatmeal!! I am going to have to find someway to celebrate oatmeal day. Oatmeal cookies? oatmeal bars? hmmm… 😉
Claire (Low Impact Fashionista) says
Oohh yoga, beautiful oats, and guilt free coffee, how much better could your morning get!
Holly @ couchpotatoathlete says
I love how the crofters looks in the bowl — I’d definitely scoop that up and eat it in one bite 🙂
Krystina (Organically Me) says
Enjoy ashtanga 😀
Nicole @ yuppie yogini says
Good luck at ashtanga. It is so hard for me because I’m not that flexible.
megan @ whatmegansmaking says
Every morning when I see you enjoy your coffee, I wish I was a coffee girl. Unfortunately I just don’t like it without a ton of milk and sugar. Which then means I probably shouldn’t drink it every day 🙂
Christie {Honoring Health} says
Happy oatmeal day!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
I will celebrate with you! Well, let’s be honest, I celebrate almost everyday, but today…I will make it extra special! Have a great day Kath!
Simply Life says

Grocery Goddess Jen says

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is says
Happy Oatmeal Day! What a perfect day for you!
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
I feel like Oatmeal day should be some sort of National holiday in the KERF house 🙂
Have fun at yoga!
Rachel (tea and chocolate) says
I didn’t know it was Oatmeal Day! Now I’m sad I had a smoothie for breakfast. Hm, savory oats for lunch perhaps?
Meaghen says
I love the bowl you used today as your oatmeal bowl. It reminds me of a mini soup tureen!
Kevin M Roth says
Hey, thanks for trying and reviewing both types of our coffee. I’m glad you enjoyed them. We appreciate the kind words and nice review. Hope you have a great weekend.
Kevin from Guilt Free Drinks
Kelli says
Do you really need the flu shot? Your young and healthy and your body should be able to fight off the flu…. Why get unnecessary vaccinations when you’re already capable of fighting it off? Most older people I know who get the flu shot end up feeling crappy for the next few days anyway and sometimes end up getting sick anyway.
Kori says
She was referring to an old rhyme that children say. “Circle, circle, dot, dot, now I need my fu shot.” It’s just lighthearted humor.
Kori says
*flu
stacey-healthylife says
It’s oatmeal day, I didn’t even know. Well at least I had an oatmeal pancake.
Camille says
Every day is oats day in my house 🙂
Natalia - a side of simple says
Ooooo I think I might have a new favorite Kath oatmeal dish? Have a good yoga class!
Brittany (A Healthy Slice of Life) says
Do you really get flu shots? I can’t decide, but I’m leaning towards no… ? 🙂
Katie says
I’m a bold girl too. It isn’t more bitter, its more flavorful!
Adorable bowl. I love all your dishes!
Kiran says
Yummy oatmeal, coffee and yoga. Me want some 😀
Namaste.
Mary (Sisters Running the Kitchen) says
yum…your oats look so creamy! Enjoy yoga! I usually never get a flu shot… I have only gotten it like once/twice during college. Not sure if I’ll be getting it this year.
Beth @ DiningAndDishing says
I had no idea it was oatmeal day!! And I had cereal for breakfast this morning. What a SHAME!
Christin L. says
Can’t wait to hear how the Ashtanga goes! My oatmeal was OOIAJ style this morning, absolutely perfect!
Caitlyn (A Spoonful of Life) says
Don’t you hate it when breakfast is just so good it makes you late!! I always linger over breakfast too long. The next thing I know, I am rushing to make it work or class on time! Oh well, breakfast is priority #1!!
Mom says
This is your mother. Get the flu shot. You’re too busy to get sick, and the flu can be dangerous, even in young people.
Kelli says
“People who have adequate levels of vitamin D in their blood rarely get sick from seasonal flu. The flu primarily strikes those who are nutritionally deficient in one or more key immune system nutrients.
But rather than teach patients how to correct those deficiencies, the entire industry of western medicine would much rather poke a hole in your arm, inject you with chemicals, charge you forty bucks and keep you in the dark about the nutrients that would have protected you better in the first place. That’s modern medicine for you: Consumer ignorance plus chemical intervention. It’s a great recipe for making money, but it’s a terrible recipe for protecting public health” Mike Adams, Natural News.

Obviously getting the flu shot is left up to every individual but as someone who is into being healthy and promoting a healthy life style I would have thought you’d think twice about getting the flu shot.
Erin says
“As someone who is into being healthy and promoting a healthy life style”–this exactly why she WOULD get a flu shot. Flu shots are a good thing, I agree with mom.
sarah (the SHU box) says
perhaps i have been brainwashed by my medical training, but i agree with mom too! and i got mine today 🙂
jessica says
She didn’t even get the flu shot yet!!
Clare @ Fitting It All In says
I wish I had known it was oatmeal day!!
Oh well, my boyfriend surprised me with breakfast in bed anyway:) And now that I think of it, they were OATMEAL pancakes! That counts, right??
Amy says
I contemplate getting the flu shot every year, but never do, and never end up getting sick. I just make sure to wash my hands a lot and not touch my face. I know there are still chances of getting sick, but I think if you’re careful enough, you’ll be fine. I just hate putting things in my body that weren’t naturally supposed to be there… I’m afraid it will weaken my immune system, but maybe it’s just me worrying too much….
lynn (The Actors Diet) says
it’s oatmeal day?!? crap, all i have is instant!
Dana @ my little celebration says
Bold coffee is definitely the way to go. I used to be repulsed by the taste when I first started liking coffee, but now it’s the only way I drink it!
Happy oatmeal day! You’re a true oatmeal pioneer!
chelsey @ clean eating chelsey says
I just had NuttZo for the first time today as they sent me some to review – holy nut butter. I <3 it!!! I'm pretty sure that I want to eat it every day for the rest of my life!
Jessica @ The Process of Healing says
I’m actually craving oats for the first time in forever!
Anne says
Woah. Those oats look very good this AM. Traditional and fallish.
Tamar says
This is random, but I think you and the blogworld would be interested to know that Marie Claire is getting blasted for this article http://www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/dating-blog/overweight-couples-on-television, written by a Marie Claire writer, talking about how much she is disgusted by fat people. It seems very hypocritical for them to publish this after the food blog debacle. Just another example of the inappropriate behavior of this magazine.
Kaci says
Well said.
Jean@RoastedRootsandPumpkinSpice says
How did I miss the National Oatmeal Day??? I had a yogurt bowl for breakfast. FAIL.
Dee says
This looks amazing! WOW!
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
I didn’t know there was an oatmeal day! I guess I’ll have to pay it a belated tribute tomorrow. 😉
Hannah says
So many ingredients in your oatmeal! Mine is always so boring by comparison 😀
