Wake up sunshine.
Today’s a half day – we’re traveling to Baltimore this afternoon. I’ve got a boatload to do between now and then, but I can’t wait to see all of my family, especially my grandmother.
We picked up some Oikos at the grocery store yesterday. Couldn’t wait to dig in! Yogurt is one thing I never eat enough of while traveling.
My bowl was layered with:
- ~1 cup yogurt
- Blueberries
- Half a peach
- Half a banana
- Bella Eats blackberry jam (LOVE how liquidy it is so it spreads nicely!)
- Crunchy Buckwheat Granola
and………….
Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter!! Justin sent me this guy a lonnnng time ago. For some reason I just never wanted to open chocolate for breakfast. But today I wanted something new and wow…very very impressed. This isn’t chocolate. It doesn’t taste like dessert. It tastes like hazelnuts. Remember the hazelnut butter of last year that Veggiegirl sent me? It’s like that – with a cocoa layer on top. Fab.
Work beckons. I have SO MUCH I want to do for my blog!! The next 48 hours will be hard to get though, but when I’m home again, I have the entire month of September to work on my blogging career.
xo to you all
Freya @ Brit Chick Runs says

Love the idea of chocolate hazelnut butter. My fellow RD and Blogger is allergic to peanuts and she makes her own chocolate almond butter. Emerald Nuts makes great cocoa covered almonds that, with a little oil, make delicious butter!
Also, thanks for the great pesto recipe. My hubby and I will definitely be trying that one!
Andrea says
Hi Kath!
I was the girl from Chicago who started the run with you on Sunday. I just wanted to say that it was great to meet you and I thought all of you guys did a great job planning the Summit. I had great time! I think I’m gonna make one of your granola recipes this morning and now you’re making me want some Justin’s to go with it =) Have a good trip to Baltimore!

Xoxo.

I never crave chocolate in the mornings either, so I’ve had a jar of chocolate soy nut butter sitting around in my cupboard for ages! I may have to open it up after seeing this though.
Amanda @ Cakes and Ale says
So sorry to hear about your grandfather. It’s hard when an elderly loved one passes on… you know it’s inevitable, but the loss still feels great. We just found out last night that my husband’s granny had gone into hospice, so we know it’s coming… but that doesn’t make it any easier. Sigh!
Char says
LOVE your breakfast! This sooo inspires me to create something similar. A must do!
xoxo
