Rock n roll.
Those two are going to be dating before we know it!
Happy Friday friends!! Let’s share some meals, shall we? Lunch the other day was a mixed kale salad tossed in Whole Foods’ strawberry walnut chia dressing. Thumbs up! Plus a really delicious buttery manchego (my favorite cheese of late!) and a No Bull Burger on top. Cherries on the side.
M and I did a Kiwi Crate box together after lunch. He loves them!
We moseyed over to our friend Lauren’s for a play date (for the girls!) and had fun seeing chickens, dogs, cats and this pretend goat.
M learned to play the guitar! Sort of…
Matt was out late, so I had a lazy dinner of meatballs eaten at the kitchen counter while I made Mazen’s dinner and sautéed these green beans.
Thursday morning I went to Plyo Max – best class of the week! I’m always a little short on sleep after though! Post calorie burn was this bowl of yogurt (a Siggi’s Fig + Lemon Zest) with some Quaker granola, blackberries, banana and almond butter on top.
Thursday morning while M was in camp I did an interview with Jenée Libby of the Edacious podcast!! Can’t wait for it to come out in a few weeks. We had a great time chatting about all things food.
I picked the Sayas up from camp at noon and this was how the rest of the afternoon went:
For lunch I had leftover green beans, a piece of toast with PB (because the kiddos’ PB&Js looked so good!) and some orange slices leftover from a beer Matt brewed (he just needed the zest!)
A while later we made smoothies for a snack. Always a big hit in both the entertainment and taste categories!
And finally – last night’s dinner was a Mona Lisa pasta lasagna with kale chips from the garden!! I LOVE Mona Lisa’s lasagnas – the freshly made noodles make such a difference! And these kale chips were perfect – super crunchy but not burned.
Hope y’all have a GREAT weekend!!

Looks like Mazen is having a great summer with his buddies! I loved playing on the couch with the pillows as a kids as well! I am loving your necklace. I am all about the layers and gold at the moment.

That lasagna looks delicious! Did you make it? Does it have meat or just cheese? Looks yummmmmmy!

It’s from Mona Lisa Pasta!

Hahahaha why do guys, when left to their own devices, eat at the kitchen counter?!
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
oooh those kale chips look good! For some reason I’ve never thought to put ketchup on them… must try that now!
Alex @ get big, go to work says
Kale chips!!! The best. I probably totally missed this from a previous post, but what does the Sayas mean?
KathEats says
It’s Sylvia and Mazen’s nicknames for each other

I often find that I crave PB sandwiches when I’m making my son’s lunch too! Kid food is pretty darn delicious.

Everything looks amazing! I would consider my summer fun, but not every single day!

After years of executing kale chips perfectly, the last several times I’ve tried making them they’ve come out soggy or burned. I can’t get my kale chip mojo back and it’s bumming me out haha.
Derek says
You seem to use a lot of ketchup, I’ve noticed. What brand do you prefer? Thanks
KathEats says
I get Heinz
