Flashback to wedding day 2007: these green button mums were everywhere!
They hold a special place in my heart : )
I treated myself to some at Whole Foods today!
Also took myself out to lunch. I had to run to the store anyways, so I decided it would be a more nutritious lunch if I ate vegetables off the salad bar than if I put something together from my empty fridge.
I was also randomly craving tofu!
I filled my bowl with mostly simple salad bar items this time, and stayed away from the pre-dressed salads that turned me off on my last visit to WF. This time I got a bed of greens, dressed in olive oil, and then a layer of plain beans and grains. On top – some kiwi, pasta salad, garlicky kale, sesame sticks, a potato, and two kinds of tofu – roasted balsamic and sesame grilled.
Sipped on this guy. LOVE root beer. It was good!
The fridge is now completely stocked. Does it look so?
Word of advice: I bought this canning funnel, which is soft and collapsible, a year ago and it is SO handy for filling jars with staples!
See you on the other side of dinner!

I love when you post photos of your wedding! for some reason I cannot find a full post about your big day back in 2007 … is there one?
KathEats says
Here’s a post with links to all of my other wedding posts!!

I got married before I started blogging, so I didn’t do a recap, but there are lots of photos and a video to share there
Jasper Naomi @ crunchylittlebites says
thank you, Kath … i’ll bet everyone will be checking out this link today, now 🙂
KathEats says
And now I’m crying after watching the video!! Esp. thinking about the baby we created and how many years it’s been since the wedding : )
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
Love you wedding bouquet – so colorful! My boyfriend has been bugging me to transfer a lot of our “staples” into jars lately – he’s going to love that funnel!
Heidi Bundles Of Hugs says
Beautiful flowers, what a nice way to spruce up the place. Lunch looks good…now I’m hungry 🙁
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
Those Zevia’s are great. Have you had the ginger ale? I always keep those on hand if my tummy is acting up.
I need one of those jar funnels! Brilliant idea – I still find popcorn kernels laying around from my last spill. 🙂
Claire @ Live and Love to Eat says
Looks like amazing tofu! It would be hard to pass up. Love that you have such great memories when you see mums. 🙂
Susan (Oliepants) says
If my fridge only looked like yours! Mine is comprised of too many half used condiments. Delicious lunch!
Andrea @FrSeed2Stomach says
ah that fridge.
Melissa @ HerGreenLIfe says
If my fridge looked like that, I’d be panicking that we had no food to eat. The current state of my fridge is the exact opposite — filled to overflowing (which is also not good) — since my husband returned from the garden on Sunday with tons of produce. My ideal would be somewhere between your picture and my stuffed-to-the-brim fridge.
Khushboo says
I need a funnel- I always make such a mess when pouring chia seeds into jars!
Shana says
Beautiful wedding photograph! Question about mason jars: Are they safe to microwave? If so, can they go from fridge to microwave?
KathEats says
Pretty sure all glass is microwave safe, and from fridge seems fine to me. Freezer to microwave might be a little different?
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Your wedding flowers were gorgeous! My favourites are gerbera daisies and am not much of a roses girl, but I absolutely love your arrangement with the bright pops of pink, green and orange!
Kelly @ Vegolosophy says
Love whole foods for lunch, always the best selections! The Ginger Root Beer sounds very tasty too!
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
i LOVE a cold root beer. zevia is not quite as good as a nice cold barq’s, but it does the job (and is a bit more healthy!!)
Kristy @ KristyRuns says
The whole foods hot bar always hits the spot! I wish ours had more tofu options like yours though!
Averie @ Averie Cooks says
That tofu looks so good..the grill marks, all full of glaze and sauce, mmm…my kinda tofu!
And you deserve flowers! Glad you treated yourself 🙂
Hope @ With A Side Of Hope says
Your wedding flowers were beautiful! I love those green mums! So cute 🙂 I didn’t like that root beer when I tried it a few weeks ago. I think it was too ginger tasting for me. I love the Whole Foods hot bar! It’s awesome.
Stephanie @ Legally Blinde says
That canning funnel does look really handy! I love that you store staples in jars – so pretty, and efficient.
Jenn says
Thanks for the tip on the funnel! I just went to amazon and ordered one! I have so many bagged items sitting in my pantry from our local Cheese Shop, but they would look so much nicer organized into jars! Great tip! Thanks!
Becca says
Your bouquet was beautiful! Stunning 🙂 I always get jealous when people post Whole Food pictures! Haha! The food looks fantastic. We do not have one in Virginia Beach, however one is scheduled to open in 2013! I can’t wait!!
Melanie says
Love Zevia! You wedding photos are beautiful! I just got married in September and wish I could do it all again!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
I need to get one of those funnels! I’ve been jarring up so much stuff lately! That bouquet is beautiful! Love the colors!
Christine @ BookishlyB says
I love a clean, crisp-looking fridge. Mine gets cleaned out every week before grocery shopping.
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
I really need a funnel! I always use a rolled up paper towel and there’s always some sort of mishap!

What a beautiful photo!! My professional engagement shoot was last night… I’m so excited about my wedding and to create memories.
Lauren @ What Lauren Likes says
Love those green mums! 😀
Chris says
Just missed you at Whole Foods! I left maybe an hour ago. And love the funnel idea since I just got a bunch of big jars for pasta after pouring out a stink bug (from an open/half/full box) into my boiling water a few weeks ago!!
KathEats says
Bummer!! I bet we crossed paths!
Chris says
ps Jess did an ultrasound of her belly today – it’s a girl! At least she’s 92% sure 🙂
KathEats says
OMG!!!!!! CONGRATS!!
Jessica kiehn says
I LOVE ZEVIA!! i am pregnant and am not much of a soda drinker at all. But that ice cold, naturally sweet, bubbly drink hits the spot for those every now-and-then cravings!
The Mrs @ Success Along the Weigh says
Oh my!! Your bouquet was GORGEOUS! Going to check out the other wedding pics!
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
Pretty flowers!! Oh I want tofu now too 😉
KJ says
Kath, What are your thoughts on juice cleanses? I’m doing the cooler cleanse (3 days) right now and feel great, but am wondering if it’s as healthy as it seems!
KathEats says
Not a fan at all. You’re depriving your body of things it needs! Protein, fat! Your liver, if functioning properly, should be as good of a cleanser as any so long as you’re feeding it a variety of whole foods from all the food groups
Eva @thehealthyparty says
I need to get a funnel like that, I keep getting rice and stuff flying when i fill jars up!
Beautiful and fun wedding photos!
Kelley says
Button Mums are so cute. I love them! So pretty. =)
Cait's Plate says
LOVE that wedding photo – and that bouquet!
Lauren N. says
The garlicky kale at Whole Foods is my favorite!!! Wish I had their recipe!
jojo says
I love your spacious fridge, even when it’s stocked it doesn’t look jammed like mine! 🙂
I have been craving tofu for long time, been staying away since my baby did’t seem to like the soy through my breastmilk.. But it may be time to give it a try again.. I’m only bf her once a day now that she’s older… 🙂
Angel7 says
I like that canning funnel! I need to get one for the items that I put in jars.

Johanna B says
Coulda used that funnel trying to pour quinoa from a bag into a jar the other day. Thanks for the suggestion. BTW, that’s one beautiful bouquet.
RhodeyGirl says
You must not eat a lot. When I stock up my fridge is packed to the brim! (We have almost the same fridge too, so I know it isn’t a size thing)
Molly @ RDexposed says
Eggs are dominating the new fridge scene. Snatch up that choline!
KathEats says
Haha. We had that frittata to use up 6!
Kerry @ Totes My Oats says
What a beautiful bouquet! And that tofu looks yummy!
Sarah @ Sarah's Modern Bites says
I absolutely LOVE the colors in your bouquet! Have you had the other Zevia flavors?? Grape is my absolute favorite! Makes me feel like a kid 😀
Susan H. @ The Food Allergy Chronicles says
Love the funnel…it would come in so handy!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
You have the cleanest fridge ever! I think I need to learn to live on less and only what I need for a week or two. Is your pantry full or does it look about the same?
KathEats says
It’s moderately full – I need to work it down!! Cooking some dried beans tomorrow 🙂
Jody says
Wow! That fridge looks empty compared to mine, but maybe it’s because you have that new fancy one!!
Megan @ Megan's Munchies says
Awwww…I love wedding memories!
Tracy says
Kath, I bought this ice cream today and oh myyyy, it is soo good. I thought of you and how much you like Biscoff. This is just….awesome: Haagen Dazs Spiced Caramel Biscuit.

KathEats says
Ohhhhhh man!!
Angela @ Happy Fit Mama says
Great idea with the canning funnel! I always end up with beans or lentils all over the floor. You never know when you’ll find a stray lentil in my house. I’m getting one of those asap!
BroccoliHut says
Thanks for the funnel recommendation–I transfer cereals, grains, and spices into my own containers, so I run into that problem quite often! *Added to wedding registry*
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
I need that funnel! Every time I try to fill up my jars with grains, flours, etc, I always end up spilling them all over!
Jillian @ DNA and Dessert says
I love Zevia cream soda. Such an indulgence!
J3nn(Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) says
I need a collapsable funnel! Such a space-saver.
Haleigh says
I wish there was a whole foods close to me, particularly for their salad bar. Looks delicious!
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
I’ve seen those funnels in the stores. They’re great because they collapse and don’t take up space. I probably should look for one. Of course, Now I won’t be able to find one! 😉
Charise says
Genius! I have the worst time transferring my bulk grain/bean purchases from the plastic bags to glass containers. Why did I not think of buying a funnel? Getting on that today!
~Christy @ wonderofallthings says
Oh my, the roses in your boquet were gorgeous! So much fun color 🙂 WF is my favorite!!
