This little butterfly is on our french doors almost every morning! We are friends : )
I am also now friends with this raspberry. Crème de la crème!
Breakfast today was a fruit explosion
Peach, banana, rasp., blue. plus yogurt, jam, chia, coconut, dry rolled oats and peana butter!
All mixed up
Cold brewed coffee, which tasted kind of off to me today?
Good & Plenty
Yours truly wrote the feature article for Breathe’s summer issue highlighting summer farmer’s market recipes!! I did not do the photography, but it is so beautifully designed I had to share the piece. See the recipes online here!
Have a lovely day!!
Jessie -- The Messie Kitchen says
You’re skilled enough to have done that shoot! But it certainly does look tasty. Something about summer food photography is so enticing…!
KathEats says
Thanks <3
Julia says
Breakfast looks so refreshing! I still haven’t tried raw oats on yogurt…but I’m definitely loving peaches and blueberries right now

Kori says
Your breakfast looks delicious as always. 🙂 The article looks so fun, and I do love their style of photography. Can’t wait to try out the recipes! Also as many others have said, it would be awesome if you could photograph my future wedding, which will NOT be happening anytime soon. But you do such a phenomenal job!! Have a fabulous Monday!

Aine @ Something to Chew Over says
Looks great, will have to check that out. Thanks for letting us know Kath! 🙂
Lisa @ Sunny Seed Stories says
For some reason, I thought today’s post about your breakfast was in poem form. I think it’s because the first two lines kind of rhyme? Anyway, congrats on your article–what a wonderful and appealing presentation too!
Angie @ Musings of a Violet Monkey says
My breakfast is very similar today! Yogurt, peaches, blueberries, chias… and homemade granola! And cold-brewed iced coffee, o’ course!
I’ll definitely check out the recipes… congrats!

Anne says
Dried herbs (tomato sauce) during the summer ? / I think your stylism and pictures are way better than what they did here !
Julie H. says
Congrats on being published in the mag! That is exciting!!!!! 🙂 Have a happy day, Kath!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Great feature Kath! And hats off to the photographer too – everything looks great! I absolutely love the pops of colour in the raspberry photos from your breakfast. Have a great day!
Cait's Plate says
I love the bell pepper dish idea – the quinoa addition is genius, such a nice change up from regular brown rice (which is what I usually use). The recipe looks so much less thick and heavy than a normal stuffed pepper which makes them perfect for summer.
Beautiful article – I know you prefer photography to words but you really have a way with both 😉
I need to get some raspberries – I’ve been on such a strawberry kick that I forgot all about them. I DID get some cherries into breakfast this morning though, they were divine.
Gina @ Running to the Kitchen says
That’s a great looking layout, congrats! The photography looks like it could’ve been yours 🙂
katie @KatieDid says
Congrats on such a lovely article! You should start taking your own pictures for those pieces, you would do just as good a job!

Congrats! It looks like a fantastic article. I bet it’s nice to not have to worry about photos for a change (but I know yours would have been just as good!).
Laura @ Cookies vs. Carrots says
Looks like a fun article! I love watermelon salad!
Alex says
Is that really a butterfly or more a pretty moth?
Nicks Fan says
It’s a moth. A tulip tree moth.
Courtney says
Yes, a moth. The wings of a moth lay flat when they land and the wings of a butterfly are up in the air.
Ericka Andersen says
Kath,
I see you have the bowl there with raw oats. I’ve never really seen that before…do they really taste good without the water? Just curious. I’ve been wanting to try as I’ve seen others do that too!
–Ericka
KathEats says
If you like raw things, yes! They have a bit of a doughy flavor. Haven’t you ever eaten a spoonful of raw oats?
Ericka Andersen says
Ha…no but you’ve convinced me to try! Thanks 🙂
Anna says
You should! They are nice and chewy and have a great flavor 🙂
Heather says
Your breakfast looks fabulous!! What kind of coconut do you use?
~Have a great day~

KathEats says

I am loving cold breakfasts right now, especially with all of the berries in season! It’s definitely iced coffee weather, especially since we have yet to turn on our A/C in Charleston.
Great article! I agree with the above reply that you could have so done the photography for the article. 🙂
Well at least I’m off to the AC at work now. I’m teaching baking camps to 5 and 8 year olds at GH in Mt. Pleasant.

Congrats on your Breathe article, Kath. That’s awesome!
And your other comment reply back, about the FG rejection. You NEVER know what they will like. Some of my best work, the images I am really proud of and that readers rave about, FG rejects. And the ones I am very meh about, they take. You just never know.
Your photography rocks. Period. 🙂
Cat @Breakfast to Bed says
Honestly would never think of raw oats. huh.

Katherina @ Zephyr Runs says
That LOOKS like your photography! And cucumber water is probably my favorite thing ever. So refreshing and understated. Love.
Katherina @ Zephyr Runs says
Is there a reason you don’t cook your oats sometimes? I assumed when you said raw oats you just meant plain oats, but I’m guessing you just don’t cook them. ?
KathEats says
I don’t cook them when I’m using them in place of granola or another “sprinkled” topping
The Healthy Apple says
Love the raw oats on the breakfast; one of my favorites! Adds such a great texture, doesn’t it? Mmmm…delish, Kath.
Koko @ KokoLikes.com says
Congrats on the magazine, and SUCH beautiful photos of breakfast! I mean, I just ate, but my mouth is watering!
