Mornin’!
I didn’t get a full 8 hours in because I woke up too excited to go back to sleep. And our inn is a creaky old house and made noises all throughout the night 🙂
But much to our delight, breakfast this morning was really nice. Continental, which I’m finding I prefer to formal (buttery!) 3-course breakfasts at inns.
Here are the trays Matt and I filled:
Lots of fruit, a carrot, raisin, walnut loaf, an apple for later, 2 cereals, 2 coffees, banana
I had a cereal – a mix of raisin bran and homemade granola with 2% milk (a treat!!)
The granola was AWESOME!!!!! Crunchy like grapenuts. It had almonds, sunflower seeds and a bunch of crunch, which I discovered was buckwheat. Recipe pending!! Should have it for you all tomorrow 🙂 Can’t wait to make it myself!
I also had a handful of grapes and strawberries and half of the loaf
And two of these! Matt’s quote: “I really like this teacup but I’d only buy it if it came with a servant to refill it for me when my two sips were gone.”
Summer Of Buddha
Buddha Bowls are back for the summa! Green + Blue combo. $10 off with coupon “GoneBowling.” 30 packs available. And remember, they take 1-2 weeks to hand make and ship.

I bet it will be so fun biking to check places out! I wish I lived close enough to town to bike.
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
How fun that you brought your bikes! I feel like you can learn the layout of a city so much more quickly on bike than by driving!
Have a great day!
Estela @ Weekly Bite says
I need to get my hands on that buddha bowl!!
Enjoy your day today 🙂
Marilou @ Mostly Healthy says
How cute that they have trays for continental breakfast? What an upgrade too compared to hotels cereal in a box, muffin and bagels continental!
Freya @ Brit Chick Runs says
I want that breakfast! What a delicious spread 🙂
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
Great thinking on the bikes! That should be fun! Breakfast looks delicious. I prefer a “good” continental breakfast to really heavy formal breakfasts any day. Especially in the summer time. Buckwheat is a favorite of mine! So tasty. Have fun today!
Janna (Janna's Keeping it Real) says
How fun! If I could bike everywhere in life on my beach cruiser…I surely would!
Good luck and have fun!
Nicole says
Yummy food!
I have a question about your Camelback- what size/style do you carry? I’ve been thinking about getting one, but I’m not sure if I should get a 50 or 70 oz one. Plus, I don’t know what else I should be looking for! Thanks in advance!
Katie @ Healthy Heddleston says
Those buddha bowls are super cute!! Have fun apartment hunting on your bike!

I LOVE that you guys brought your bikes with you! I have to agree with Matt on the mugs. I need a giant tub for my tea and coffee every day!
Anya @ Fitness & Sunshine says
Have fun checking out new places! 🙂 I love buckwheat… never thought of it in granola, even though I used to eat the grains dry.
sweetersalt says
Nice! I love when inns have a good continental breakfast (and really hate it when it is a bad continental breakfast!). Have fun via bike!

I know what you mean about 2% milk being a treat. Before I married my hubby, I drank nonfat milk but now on the ranch we have fresh, raw, full fat milk and it’s so creamy….such a treat:) Have fun today!

I find that cereal never fills me up 🙁 Maybe I’m eating the wrong kinds?

mmm..I drink 2 percent milk all the time. It is sooo good. My friends own a farm and all they drink = 2 percent, 3 percent..raw. They love it 🙂 And they are so healthy, so that’s good news! lol Enjoy the day!
Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
That breakfast looked delicious!! Especially that carrot walnut loaf 🙂 I love when breakfast buffets have those (because they are delicious) but then also dislike it because I can NEVER have just one piece (because of said deliciousness, lol).
Good luck today 😀
