Happy Morning! Happy Hump Day! Happy Sunshine? I’m sippin’ tea on the porch before this day gets fully underway.
Part I of Wednesday was a bowl full of yogurt, crumbled Morning Glory muffin (of course!) and berries with sunflower butter on top and chia seeds sprinkled throughout. Delicious!!! I can’t say how thrilled I am that berry season is here. My favorite fruit by far, although bananas are kind of a given and stone fruits a close second.
Matt slept in (getting up at 6:45 instead of 6) and so we got to get up together! It’s so weird when we do that now and also weird that while we were getting the business up and running we spent all day long together everyday. I hope once the baby is here he’ll be a regular to this more relaxed schedule so we can spend more time together. Or more likely, I’ll just be up at 5 already and we’ll just get to be together super early for hours before work : )
I made him a bowl while he showered and we enjoyed them together on the porch.
Have a spritely morning!

What is it about eating food on a porch? It makes the food taste so much better!
KathEats says
It’s the fresh air!
Molly@RDexposed says
Fresh air as the secret ingredient-of course. That should be the next surprise ingredient on iron chef.
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says

Looks delicious! POURING rain here today.. no sunshine! I slept in a little bit today too. Normally, I wake up 20 minutes before my alarm.. today it was only 5! 🙂 haha

That breakfast looks so delicious! I really need to try crumbling a muffin on top of yogurt or oatmeal – I never think to do it, but you always make it look amazing!

Wow, next Tuesday I will definitely be going to Great Harvest for that muffin!! Raspberries with yogurt may be one of the best combinations ever, I think… with strawberries a close 2nd!

You always have the cutest mugs…I need to clear out some space in my cabinets for a bigger mug collection!

The way you feel about berries is the way I feel about watermelon… SO glad the season is finally here!! 🙂
Ashley @ Coffee Cake and Cardio says
I always like that you mix it all together. You could eat a muffin, yogurt, and then raspberries but why not create a dish out of the three? Happy Wednesday.
juli says
Your breakfast looks so yummy! Is that greek yogurt? It looks so thick. Have a wonderful day!!
KathEats says

Ah, breakfast on the porch! Fresh air is definitely the best way to start the day 🙂 Fantastic that you two (and a half) can share that together. Agreed about the berries — the best of the best. Have a good one!

We like our quality time together in the am too. We wake up 30 mins before the time the one who needs to be up earliest gets up (since hubs current schedule is a 5 am wake up, we get up at 430). That 30 mins is no phone, no blackberry, no emails, usually no crisis or special request from someone. We have coffee & let the morning develop – chat about our day or whatever we were just too tired to mention the day before. His job depends a lot on what other people do, so once the day “starts” I may not get more than a few sentences in before bed time. And how can you have a bad day when your first “to-do item” was quality time with your spouse?
KathEats says
Sweet 🙂 It’s hard to get up earlier than necessary, but so nice to have a peaceful morning!
Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
That spoonful of your breakfast looks just like cheesecake! Makes me want some…lol Enjoy your Wednesday 😀

What’s in the muffin? It looks delicious!
KathEats says
Pineapple, apples, coconut, carrots, raisins!
Angela @ Health Happiness & Harmony says
That’s something I would love! Carrot cake is one of my favorite indulgences, and this sounds similar. 🙂
Laura B says
I love berry season too! I have oral allergy syndrome, which is basically that my seasonal allergies cause lots of fruits (apples, all stone fruits, pears, etc) to give me an allergic reaction when they aren’t cooked. Berries are some of the few that don’t do it to me, so I can’t ever get enough of them 🙂
As a side note, I tried your whipped banana oatmeal this morning and it was fantastic. I’ll never go back to normal oatmeal again!
Laura @ She Eats Well says
I want your porch. And a Morning Glory muffin!
Sarah says
I’m giggling about waking up at 5 am with the baby. My baby is 5 days old today. I’d love to wake up at 5 am……that would mean that I’ve actually been asleep 🙂 Obviously this will get better as time goes on but it just struck me funny today!
KathEats says
Well, in time 🙂
Jennifer (The Gourmetour) says
YUM that looks amazing. I’m too hungry right now to be looking at your delicious food photots. Off to make some lunch!

I put raspberries on my oatmeal every morning. Frozen to be exact. Sometimes I buy them frozen, and sometimes I freeze them myself, but there is just something extra delicious when the frozen raspberries begin to melt. Plus they add an extra Crunch!
Lauren says
This looks so amazing. I’m doing Live Below the Line at the moment, so can’t eat anything apart from boring pasta/rice/frozen veggies. Craving yoghurt and berries!
