Another gorgeous day here!!
I woke up without much hunger and thought about going to do some exercise, but today work actually won the first-task-of-the-day spot. And with excitement too. I am motivated to get through this semester as quickly and efficiently as possible, so I got a head start on my TODO list for the day.
An hour later, I broke for breakfast when I hunger accumulated.
I actually had the oatmeal pot out on the stove when I noticed a peach that needed to be eaten and changed my game plan to yogurt + fruit + cereal.
- 1 peach
- 1 plain Chobani
- 1/2 cup Kashi GoLean Crunch (one of my very favorites! Just opened an old box on its last leg before staleness)
- 1 tbsp flax
- A few cinnamon almonds
- Spoonful Almond Haze stirred and heated to make it runnier, which didn’t really work all that well
There was yogurt deep down under there!
+ Marley coffee day II! I’ve been nothing but impressed by the complexity and richness by the two flavors I’ve sampled by them.
Working more now and then taking another break to exercise in a few hours, which might mean cutting the grass. It’s getting long!

Happy Thursday!! Lovely breakfast, as usual!

first? sorry couldn’t refrain!

I’ve never tried that kashi cereal, but I should. You reminded me that we have peaches that need to be eaten, too!
Sandhiya says
Talking about oat meal and peaches..I actually had that combination yesterday for breakfast, almost similar to your carrot cake oatmeal but no carrots and peaches were stirred in after the oatmeal was done. Adding shredded coconut was what that made the peach + oatmeal combo super yummy. Wish I had taken a picture..
Marina says
Nice breakfast! I admire how hardworking you are, at everything you do!
Courtney says
I can’t decide what I want for breakfast, all the “blog breakfasts” look so good and everyone is doing something different!
Have a great day!

I LOVE that Anthropology mug. Everytime I’m in there I almost buy it!
And I know – I’m LOVING this Fall weather! My sister is in Atlanta and says it’s already starting to feel like it down there too!
And totally agree on Kashi Go Lean Crunch (the Honey Almond Flax kind is to die for!)
Megan says
What a good start to your day…getting started on your to do list before breakfast! Woohoo 🙂 Yummy breakfast by the way. Kashi Go Lean Crunch is in my pantry now…but my favorite Kashi cereal is Kashi U.
I hope you have a wonderful morning, Kath!

It’s a beautiful day up north too. Love fall!

I’m the same way when it comes to school work. Fall quarter for my MBA starts next week, and I’m still anxiously awaiting the syllabi from my professors so that I can get a jump start on some of our readings and case studies!
Sarah @ The Foodie Diaries says
Haha that spoon like super freaky from that angle in the first shot, like the longest spoon with the tiniest baby scoop ever made? Is that just me?

Brie (The Fit Bride) says
What a pretty mug and bowl!

I had Kashi GoLean Crunch yesterday for the first time, LOVED it! I usually have just GoLean.

Lindsay @ bananaandchocolate says
Yummy start to your day! I am so impressed by your dedication to school. I was always guilty of putting things off until the last minute.
Julie says
I had to let you know I had SIAB this AM! Would never have thought of it if it weren’t for you. The smoothie was too thick due to frozen cantaloupe. I learned I do not like melon flavored smoothies (though I love melon) and doctored it up with a bunch of granola and agave. It was actually good.
MelissaNibbles says
Kashi GoLean and yogurt is a gift from the gods!
Kristen @ Simply Savor says
hmm I’ve never tried Kashi GoLean crunch, but may have to pick some up next time i’m at the store.
Good luck with getting all your school work done–it really motivates me to try and get my assignments done early too! 🙂
coco says
kashi golean crunch is a great option! It always makes me happy! 😀
Sarah R says
Oh the GoLean crunch is so good. I could eat the whole box. Which might be why I don’t buy it very often!
Paige says
Ooh, that’s the best bowl of cereal I’ve seen! Love the peach in there 🙂
amanda says
Man, I wish I had your motivation. And your breakfast. 😉
Julia says

hmm. I am kind of lost now. I was hoping to live through another one of your oatmeal creations this morning and therefore had my regular breakfast, but what to do now that you didn’t have oats? oats for lunch maybe????
yogurt + peaches + almonds/walnuts + chocolate chips is my favorite combo of y+p
Amelia says
Isn’t this weather gorgeous? Not sure what it feels like in Charlotte, but it is mid 70’s today in Charleston with a breeze and feels fabulous! I am loving this.
Lizzy says
i believe adding a peach to just about anything will make it taste better! hahah. hope you have a great day! 🙂
Evan Thomas says
Cinnamon almonds sound delicious
Holly says
enjoy the beautiful day!
Jen says
Um, Kath. When you eat Kashi Go Lean Crunch, does it cause (OK, no way to be delicate about this) really severe gas? Because I sincerely love KGLC, but my tummy (and my friends) cannot handle it.
Katharine says
Where do you get such cute bowls?! I love them and want to start a collection of my own 🙂
Trish says
I really do love seeing your oatmeal combos, they are always so interesting.
Thank you for sharing them.
Elsa says
Kath… you have inspired me to start a collection of bowls! Now every time I walk into a store with a home goods section I go straight to their dishware area to check it out. So thank you!! I love it! Even though my husband now wonders why we have so many bowls! 🙂
Shannon (The Daily Balance) says
Happy Thursday!! – I never get tired of seeing your pretty bowls 😉
I think I need more variety!
Megzz @ Megzz Wins At Life says

Some days you just wake up motivated to do work. For me somehow that always happens to be my days out of the office. I still wake up at 8 and get to work on stuff instead of sleeping in or hitting the gym. Why can’t I have that motivation on work days? 🙂
Heather says
I picked up some peaches from the Farmers’ Market the other day – they need another day or two to ripen. I didn’t like peaches until I lived in Georgia – now I cannot wait for peach season.
Chloe (Naturally Frugal) says
I LOVE that bowl, how cute! Also, I’m jealous of your nice fall weather, we are definitely heading into rainy season up here in Seattle. Can’t summer hold out a little bit longer?
Cates says
Kath, have you ever tried cutting a peach into cubes and cooking it into your oatmeal? So good!
Hallie (Healthy Twists) says
I wish it would start to acting like fall around me! It’s hot and muggy…well, hot and muggy by southern California standards, which is nothing for anyone anywhere else 😉
Sara says
My latest cereal obsession is Barbara’s Bakery Shredded Oats. They look so boring on the box but they are so very tasty and addictive — little pillows! Especially soggy (if you’re the type who likes that ;)).
Ellen @ Peace in Motion says
I am seriously obsessed with that coffee mug. So pretty!
Kath says
Sarah @ The Foodie Diaries,
It’s an iced tea spoon – very long handle, tiny “mouth”. I love eating with them!
Jen,
It doesn’t, but I often don’t eat a lot of it at once time. Today was just half a cup. How much do you eat at once and how much fiber do you get on a daily basis? I think both of those factors would influence gas. It’s a lot of fiber at one time!
Katharine ,
Those are Pier1! Most of mine are Crate + Barrel and Pier1 with a few random dept. stores scattered about. I love bowls 🙂
Megzz ,
Thank you!! Check the FAQ page 😉

Ok…Even though you already responded to comments, I have to ask….Where did you get the “K” mug?? I love it!!
Food Maniac says
Looks great, I got up early but got tied up on the phone and still haven’t found time for breakfast, and your pictures are making me very hungry
Kaley says
I really love TJ’s cereal, which is Honey, Almond & Flax 9 Whole Grain Crunch cereal. It’s so yummy and remind me of Kashi GoLean Crunch…but BETTER. 🙂 Try it sometime.
Kath says
Cates,
Yes, but it’s not my very favorite.
Allyson,
Anthropologie!
Kaley,
Will do!
