Hello there amigos!
Today’s class snacks included: A baby apple + LaraBar
And a bite of Kelsey‘s Trader Joe’s Sesame Crepe, which was awesome!
Photos courtesy of the new B+B Canon!
I arrived home at 8:15 to find Matt reading in bed and dinner waiting on the stovetop:
It was just one of those kinda nights to celebrate with a little wine – in my new stemless glass from Larbs + Matt!!
This was the last of my Target boxed chardonnay –
And you KNOW I am classy enough to suck down the bag!
Matt’s dinner was so good! I left him with the instructions to make something with the Applegate Farms Andouille Sausage I thawed out yesterday plus some local mustard greens and a bag of green beans. I got a text around 8 that he’d made "Cajun Pasta." The dish was incredible!!
Barilla pasta, green beans, garlic, andouille, greens and cheese. I’m guessing he added some chili powder too? Or cajun seasoning. Probably both.
I played around online for a while when I should have been working. Tomorrow is full steam head – I have a lot to do before the weekend and want to get it all finished so I can relax Saturday – Monday.
Friday Dance!

I am always so jealous of what a great cook Matt is! You are a lucky girl. My husband is many wonderful things, but a cook isn’t one of them!
Have a great birthday week!

I’ve seen those crepes in TJ’s before but never knew exactly how you were supposed to eat them–are they mean to be eaten straight up?
lynn (The Actors Diet) says
i have never seen those TJ crepes! and i am a TJ freak!
Mama Pea says
I’ve also wondered about those crepes. I’d probably pair them with something savory, like a Moroccan stew. Oh hell, who am I kidding, I’d smear them with an obscene amount of hummus.
Mike Zurick says
Stemless just isn’t pretty!

Grats on the foodbuzz bertolli ambassador thingy lol!

WINE IN A BOX!
jenn says
hey kath (or anyone else), when making french press can you use whole coffee beans or do they need to be coarsley ground?
thanks!
Emily (Emily Eats and Exercises) says
I love when my boyfriend surprises me with a great meal. Matt sounds like a great cook – a keeper for sure!
For Jenn – the beans need to be ground as far as I know.

That looks delish! I love that you can just throw things into a pan and make wonderful meals. I’m learning to not rely so much on the recipe but its hard.
Kath says
BroccoliHut,
It was pretty good straight up!
Kristin Pizzi,
Fun!!
Pam,
Thanks!
jenn,
Def. must be ground!
Madelin,
They are Pottery Barn! I like how they feel sturdier than the Reidels and fit in my small hands better.

The Target boxes are amazing – have you seen the stands they come in too? Perfect for a party. They also have a smaller version – in wine juice boxes. Complete with straws. Yea, kind of awesome – in a weird way.
