I’d like B2B in the morning to stand for back 2 bed.
Johanna B says
Molly, girl, I’ll second that thought.
Christine @ Oatmeal in my Bowl says
Haha! I like the sound of that. 😉

I love whipped banana oats although mine never turn out look fluffy like yours! I have same mug except it has an “H” on it obviously. Happy Wednesday! 🙂
Cathy says
Mine has a C for Cathy. I just had to have an Anthropology mug after seeing Kath’s.
KathEats says
Use more liquid!
Katie says
The pumpkin spice tea is looking so good right now, it is cold here. At least we escaped the 1-3″ of snow that was predicted and ended up with nothing. I just finished up my oatmeal, but your basic bowl looks delicious.
Sarah @ newlyeverything says
Kath, your video showing the whipped banana oats technique has revamped my breakfast. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to my hot water instant oats again!
KathEats says
So glad!
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says

Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
Mmm, makes me want some banana oats now!
The Healthy Hipster says
Love this breakfast. Looked a lot like mine this morning. How great is it that comfort food always happens to be the simplest to prepare and the most delicious?
Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries says
Sometimes the basics are truly the best! Looks delish!
Cait's Plate says
Sometimes you really just can’t beat the basics. I’m jonesing for some of that Cville Cluster! I bought BearNaked as a substitute but it really just doesn’t even begin to compare!
Claire @ Live and Love to Eat says
Basic to you, decadent to me! 🙂
~Christy @ wonderofallthings says
Ha! I totally thought B2B was going to stand for “back to bed”! 😉 I had my whipped banana oats with pumpkin, blueberries, a touch of maple syrup and chia seeds this morning. I love that oatmeal is now a star player in my breakfasts — especially as the weather gets colder and it feels good to start the day with a meal sticking to my ribs! And I commented yesterday at lunch that I wished I was motivated to eat more salads, so last night I had a warm salad and it was great. Gotta get those veggies in any way possible 🙂 So, thanks!
Mama Pea says
Have a good day, Kath!
KathEats says
You too love!
Susan H. @ the food allergy chronicles says
Bananas and oatmeal were made to be together…in fact, as a baby, my youngest son would only eat his oatmeal if there was banana mixed into it! Now, he likes his oatmeal topped with pure maple syrup…another fantastic combo!

i have the same “K” mug! although i’m still working on that beautiful froth. there’s nothing like the comfort of simple whipped banana oats… sound perfect for the rainy morning here in chicago.
Lynn @ the actor's diet says
I think it’s been almost a year since I’ve eaten banana oats?!? So weird I used to eat them every day.
Jen says
I haven’t had breakfast yet and this post is making me want to eat my keyboard.

This morning I had pumpkin overnight oats in a jar. Good stuff (except it’s almost too cold for overnight oats these days.)

Kath, this is off the subject. I noticed you have a Keurig and you never mention using it. Any reason why?
KathEats says
I don’t have one…what made you think so?
Cathy says
I thought I saw a pic of one on the bottom shelf in your basement. Anyhow, what do you think of the KCups? Thanks Kath.
Antonia says
I can’t get over how great your breakfast looks. It may be basic, but it sure looks delicious!
Betsy says
Kath, you have made me an oats convert! NEVER before did I consider it breakfast (was an eggs only girl, usually) because I’m not a sweet person. But, I have been doing overnight oats for weeks not, no sweetener except for dates. I actually put a pinch of salt! Today is was old fashioned oats (steel cut). YUM!
KathEats says
🙂
Susan (Oliepants) says
This makes me wish I had a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. Cinnamon sugar oatmeal to be exact! 🙂

After my workout this morning I was not in the mood for breakfast food. I ate leftover Miso Soup. A little while later I saw your post and craved oatmeal all the way until lunch. I made a version of this for lunch and it was super! Thanks for the inspiration.
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
I’ve never found a pumpkin spice tea, I’ll have to go on a search.
Julia H. @ The Petite Spiel says
Froth dimple! So cute 🙂
TeenyLittleSuperChef says
It’s always nice sometimes to go back to an old favorite, especially for breakfast. Great way to start the day. I pretty much had the exact same thing this morning. Love me some banana oats especially when a little Sunbutter is added on top. Have you ever tried making your own sunflower seed butter? I’ve made peanut and almond butters, but have yet to tackle the sunflower seed variety. Not sure if my food processor could handle it 🙂
KathEats says
I haven’t, but some other bloggers have

Wish someone would serve me with b2b in the morning. And it would be even nicer if kath is the one who will prepare it. 😉
