When I woke up to a sloppy rainy morning, little did I know the most beautiful fall day yet was around the corner!
Thanks in part to the increase in appreciation of sunshine following a few days of wetness.
I am THRILLED with our new house’s location. I can run so many errands on foot now. My bi-weekly Body Pump classes take me right through downtown and I went to the drugstore, the bank, the other bank, and the ice cream shop all in one.
After class, I prepared juice and toast for lunch
Juice with ye ole juicer [Breville Juice Fountain Plus] with the above ingredients (minus the plum – that was for chewing!)
On the side I had a slice of sourdough toast (made at the bakery!) with cream cheese and some Copper River smoked salmon. The salmon was sent to me in the final shipment of my partnership with the Copper River group this summer. My love for salmon has definitely grown.
Plum on the bottom!
I’m working on a You Tube project, doing laundry, going to drop something off at the bakery and working on some marketing things all at once. Then – party for the weekend!
Krissy @ Shiawase Life says
When will we be able to purchase the sourdough bread? I am so stoked for it!!!!

Next week!!

The colors of this post just shout out fall–how lovely! I also love the dried autumn leaves on the table.
lynn @ the actor's diet says
being able to walk places is so important. i live in one of the only areas of LA where you can do that, but unfortunately the useful places are all shutting down for a million coffee and dessert shops
Zoe @ loseweightandgainhealth says
It is unseasonally warm in England right now. October is often sunny but not usually so warm. People were swimming in the sea this week which is totally unusual. Loving the juice. I should get my old juicer out and make some. Mmmmm – there’s a good idea for Saturday morning.
VeggieGirl says
I loved living in London because I got so much walking in! Now I drive everywhere 🙁
Liz says
I sure wish I lived somewhere that lended itself to walking everywhere! I live in a fairly small town in Ohio & have to drive out of town for a lot of things, including an hour each way to work…
Maria @ Sinfully Nutritious says
Lunch and juice. I love it! I always feel like I am wasting too much fiber in my juicer, so I usually end up putting in the Vitamix, but, it is never quite as good as the juicer. Also, I have a bad habit of hating to clean the juicer..Vitamix is just a little easier to clean!
Lisa says
I am thinking about buying a vitamin but can decide if inshod get 377 dollar one or 499 one. I also watched a video last night where you make juice in the vitamin by straining it. Looked good to me!
Lisa says
Sorry can’t type on this phone.
Maria @ Sinfully Nutritious says
Oh, you will not regret it! I use it everyday, multiple times a day. Smoothies, juices, soups, hummus, cashew cream, puree’s, it is a kitchen life saver. It pays for itself.
Lisa says
Thanks!
Do you know if there is a big difference between the 380 and 500 one? the HP and Watts are the same but the 500 one is “professional.”
The healthy hipster says
Love that floral napkin! Too cute beside your little plum side dish 🙂
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Mmmm I haven’t had smoked salmon in so long! Sounds like a busy afternoon ahead. Countdown to the weekend is on!
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
our mornings here in chicago have been very similar — very gloomy looking — but the sun comes out in no time!
juice and toast lunch seems perfect for the sunshin-ey day!
Anita says
Is that your street? It’s beautiful! I love that “ice cream shop” is one of your errands. Let’s face it. Sometimes, the ice cream shop is totally necessary. 🙂
KathEats says
Nope, it’s downtown Cville!
Sweet and Savvy says
I have never attempted juice making… definitely wanna give it a shot! Enjoy the rest of your beautiful day!:)
Meaghann says
Hmm your photos are starting to look a lot like Angela’s from OSG
Hillary says
I’m a little jealous of your walkability! I used to live in the city, and I loved taking advantage of being able to walk everywhere. It’s so convenient (and a fun way to get in some extra exercise!)
~Christy @ wonderofallthings says
mmm…the ice cream shop! 🙂 what a beautiful place you live — and sooooooo lucky to be able to run all those errands on foot!
Kaila @healthyhelperblog! says
Mmmmmm smoked salmon sounds SO good right now! Haven’t had that in forever!!!
~Christy @ wonderofallthings says
Would you be able to post a link to the picture of the pumpkin oh in the clamshell container…I looked through a bunch of posts and searched but couldn’t find it… 🙁 on the brink of Oh madness here in MN!
KathEats says

Add some Veganaise, little lemon, some chopped dill to that salmon…. MMm…. light, perfect, lunch. The juice looks yummy!

Your lunch looks fabulous, and I love you fall-inspired plate!!

I would really love if we lived in walking distance from downtown, because it would be so convenient!
I love salmon, but do not think I have ever actually bought it! I usually buy sole.

Salmon is my favorite variety of fish. I loooove smoked salmon the best, though. Lox + Bagel + Creammmmmm cheese and capers = best. meal. ever. Breakfast, lunch, AND dinner! So good.
I love the rounded-edged photos. Very classic 🙂
Caitlin says
My salmon love has grown too! I just added smoked salmon to my types-I-like list. I have been missing out!
Love the use of rounded edges on your photographs. I loved doing that back in my LiveJournal days!
Lauren @ What Lauren Likes says
Love the fall plate! So pretty 🙂
Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga says
I love the plate and napkin. So pretty and fall-inspired.
And of course the juice looks great. I never juice anymore because I am so slow with juicer cleanup. I have a Breville but the pulp always seems to get so embedded and stuck in the teeth/blade. You’re a better woman than I for juicing 🙂
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
Being able to walk everywhere is my favorite part about where I live too. It’s so nice in the fall air right now!
Anna @ On Anna's Plate says
Yay– we’ve had rain ALL week, and today is beautiful!!! I think it’s supposed to stay that way too– yay for fall!

Yay for the weekend!! I love the photo of the pre-juiced veggies. Beautiful.
Johanna B says
I like where I live. A lot of places are walkable, including to work. I also live close to a bus route which, although not as green as walking, is greener than driving a private vehicle. My house is in an old part of town which is undergoing a revival and there’s some interesting new places being built. A new locavore type burger restaurant and a coffee shop – yay.
Johanna B says
The coffee shop is locally owned and not a Starbucks.
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
I’m SO ready for the weekend!!! WHeeee!
I love a good juice-YUMM 🙂
Ella, RD says
The ice cream shop – that should ALWAYS be on one’s to-do/errand list!
Molly @ RDexposed says
You wouldn’t be happening to post a You Tube video of you lip synching to Celine Dion?
KathEats says
As it goes, no. You know if I posted a video of that it would not be lip synching but the real vocals – blasted at the top of my lungs!
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
I love being able to walk places too. It’s such a mood lifter! 😀
Emily@SavoryandSavage says
I have been loving my week in NYC because I can walk everywhere. Where I live in California you end up driving everywhere – I love that I am getting in a full walking workout everyday just seeing the sites in NYC.
I can totally see why you made the decision to move to a house that makes walking much easier.

Kath, both of my twenty something’s sons are college grads but now salmon fishermen for Copper River fisheries. They started going during college but love the lifestyle. Work hard during the season and then travel the world. We have a freezer full of yummy salmon and jars of smoked. Enjoy.
KathEats says
Oh how nice! Please tell them that I hope I ate one of theirs – it was delicious!
Kim @ Eat, Live, and Blog says
I love your photos. They are all so pretty!! 🙂
KathEats says
Thanks!

The location is BEAUTIFUL, I love the cobblestone-looking streets. This is exactly the kind of area my hubby and I would like to end up in someday…until then, we pack light and travel around!
Julia H. @ The Petite Spiel says
There’s a Bruegger’s Bagels near my college and apparently they have a really good smoked salmon bagel. I’ve yet to try it though, but this reminded me that I need to get on that!
Khushboo says
Your lunch has left me craving vegetable juice…I think it shall have to feature in tomorrow’s breakfast!
Meghan @ Day-to-Day Crazy says
That salmon looks amazing!
Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning says
I broke out my Breville this morning. I would use it a lot more often if it wasn’t such a pain to clean!
