All In The Numbers

Y’all already know I’m obsessed with the number 26. But I don’t know if you realize quite how much this number follows me around!! I see it EVERYWHERE. But also, all versions of 10.26 "count" for me. So 62, 126, 160, 106, 120, 102, 1062, $26.10 – they all work. I think the best part of my birthday is getting to see 10.26 everywhere! It’s already showing up a lot today!

And I realized with squealing excitement yesterday that I was born on 10.26.82. And 82 is 28 backwards, so today is somewhat of a

golden birthday!! Hopefully I will make it to 62 and 82 years old as well Smile 1 and 10 have already passed!

This morning I looked through my birthday posts from the past three years (which was very fun to be able to do!)

This morning we rose at 6:26 (same as last year!!) and got started on the best bowl of oatmeal ever!!

I requested that, in lieu of a gift, Matt plan a fun day for us. He’s told me to wear something rugged to start and bring a nice shirt to change into. And we’ll be gone until dinnertime. I’m excited!!!

    Hi Kath – I have been reading your blog for a while (love it btw!!) but never commented before. I just have to though because I have to say I am the same way about my bday numbers (10-28-82). I am totally obsessed with 10-28 (I see it everywhere as well) and have looked forward to this bday forever because I will be turning 28 on 10-28 in the year 2010 (10=october!). Also 2+8=10! All my friends and family laugh at me so much when I start going on about my numbers but just thought you would understand! haha! anyway happy birthday!!

    I know whatcha mean about the 26.

    My mom, dad and oldest sister’s birthdays all fall on the 26th of different months. My mom lives at 206 Main Street. I live at 26 Beacon Street. My middle sister lives at 26 Jefferson Street. My fiancee (and me too, soon!) lives at 226 Castle Ave.

    So yeah…I get ya. 🙂

        I live in a complex with 450 units (and I’m moving in 2 weeks!) and everyone else lives in different towns/states. We all have different last names, too. I thought about putting fake street names but meh. 🙂

    Happy Birthday!! I’m obsessed with numbers concerning my birthday too! My bday is Oct 11 and my brother’s is Oct 19 so when we were younger we always combined it to 119 (such an odd favorite number lol) Since then we see that number everywhere and always have to call to let the other one know!

    Happy Birthday Kath.
    These last few posts have me a bit overwhelmed. I’ve never seen someone take on a diva-princess role with their birthday 🙂 Not saying its a bad thing,…you’re certainly not shy or modest.

    I hope you get to appreciate all the blessings you have in family, health and finances, etc.
    I try to “give” more on days now (birthdays mean little to me though). Volunteer, etc…help others and see the real things in the world that ought to be cared for.

    Have a warm day though. It seems that it means a lot to you.

    Happy Birthday! I think 10-26-10 is cool too. A lot has happened to me today. It’s my husband’s birthday… 62nd. And one day after my mother’s 87th birthday yesterday. She had a stroke two weeks ago, has had no food/fluids since and she made it to her birthday. We went to her nursing home and sang to her at midnight! But sadly and happily at the same time if that is possible. She passed away today at 12:25 pm. We were hoping she set some kind of cool record by being born on 10-25, and passing away on 10-25. She was close on both with the date and time of day. Saturday we having a “Going to Heaven” party and making all her favorite foods!
    I love your blog!
