Every single Spring, I forget how beautiful it is. Summer + Fall by far win as my favorite seasons (because Spring is such a teaser! And Winter…no chance) but right now on this day, Spring is my new fav : )
Overnight oats for the win!
I lovely combo of my usual OO base plus Uncle Sam and Sunbutter.
[1/3 cup oats, milk, greek yogurt, half banana, cinnamon, pinch salt, 1/2 tbsp chia seeds]
Earl Grey on a sunny morning
I walked out onto the porch and my heart jumped into my chest when I saw a pile of wood. I thought some part of the porch had collapsed in the storm last nigh!! But luckily it’s just Matt’s garden bed supplies!
I’m working on Great Harvest marketing/web things all morning and have my talk to prepare for tonight! But I absolutely MUST fit in a walk – it’s too nice of a day.
Hope @ With A Side Of Hope says
The first picture of the trees is beautiful! 🙂 I love the spring. The flowers are so pretty this time of year. Overnight oats are the best! I haven’t had them in such a long time. Good luck with your speech!
Stephanie @ Legally Blinde says
I was just thinking to myself how I never consider spring to be my favorite season, but I fall in love with spring every time I see new blossoms and color popping up everywhere! Phew, glad your porch is okay – that would have been quite a scare.
Angel7 says
I do not mind the winter, but love fall and summer. This year, however, I wanted spring to come really bad, since the snow would not come. This has been an unpredictable year for weather thus far–at least where I am at.

I agree. Winter is the worst. This spring in Atlanta is turning out to be gorgeous! I don’t remember it ever being so beautiful!
Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries says
my breakfast was almost identical this morning! it was delicious. fall and summer are definitely my top favorite seasons as well! so far, it’s been a beautiful spring here in northern UT though!
Khushboo says
I love the transition of summer into fall: ideal temperatures and the color change of the leaves is beautiful!
CAit @ beyond bananas says
I always love going for a walk in early spring. The new flowers are always so beautiful!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Summer is by far my favourite season. I know a lot of people like fall but here, fall tends to turn to winter VERY quickly so to me, it’s a bit of a sign that things are only going to get colder! I’m a summer kinda girl through and through!
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
Haha – I would have freaked out at that pile of wood! Glad it was supplies. 🙂
Sana says
I love spring because it’s my birthday season 🙂
The Mrs @ Success Along the Weigh says
What a pretty pic of the Spring goodness around you!
I would’ve freaked out at the wood too!
Blessing {Working Mom Journal} says
I love spring. I just picked up running and I love it so far. What times of the day is it best to run from your experience?
KathEats says
Anytime before lunch. My stomach was fine to run first thing and after breakfast, but the second it had vegetables in there my run quality decreased dramatically. You’ll have to figure out what works for yours! I love early morning runs in the summer when it’s balmy and the sun is just rising 🙂
Claire @ Live and Love to Eat says
Looks like a beautiful morning there! I’m sure you’ll find time to walk – you seem to fit in 100 things in one day!
Katie @ Peace Love and Oats says
I’m glad you’re having such good weather! It’s a little chilly here in Chicago today, but it’s supposed to warm up this weekend again! Although honestly I’d prefer the chill because I have my first half marathon and I don’t want it to get too hot!
Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning says
I’m definitely a fan of summer, more than anything else (well, I think all public school teachers are!)- but spring is awesome. I’m a big baseball fan, so I’m getting all geeked up for the season to be underway!
Enjoy your walk today- I’m hoping to find time for one too!
Jasper Naomi @ crunchylittlebites says
how in the world do you figure out the wed design stuff, Kath? Is it all self-taught? … I just read about wed design for two hours last night :: feeling more educated but less knowledgeable than EVER
KathEats says
Do you mean about blog design? It’s hard and scary, but everything I’ve learned has been trial and error. You also need the help of some design tools – from Picasa (free) to Photoshop ($$$)
Jasper Naomi @ crunchylittlebites says
I meant marketing/web GH stuff. but you’re totally right about the blog design, too. I was told to be brave and pick up Photoshop as well as light room if I wanted to “go anywhere” in the design world. we shall see 🙂
KathEats says
Ahhh gotcha. Our website is pretty easy to update since we moved hosts. And we use Constant Contact for marketing. It all just takes time to do but it isn’t hard!
faith says
It was a GORGEOUS morning (I guess it still is, I’ve been up for a while and I forgot for a sec that it’s still morning).
There’s no chance that porch is coming down, Tate was just commenting on how re-inforced it is!
Walk me to the clinic at 2:30?
KathEats says
🙂
I can meet at 2:30!
Cait's Plate says
Overnight Oats won over for me today too. I hadn’t had them in a while and BOY were they delicious 🙂
PS – I legitimately laughed outloud when you were showing your “to-do” list on Baby KERF and it just said “everything” hahaha.
KathEats says
🙂
Shannon says
Kath – will you be doing a post on the new garden?
KathEats says
Yes, thanks for the request to remind me to photograph and detail it!
Shannon says
yay! I’m such a slacker/rookie, we moved into our house almost 2 yrs ago and haven’t touched what is already there
Anna @ On Anna's Plate says
I feel like every season I’m in feels like my favorite– at least with spring, summer and fall…no shot on winter winning that one for me, either.
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
Fall is my favorite too. I love Spring, but the allergy stuff is really not fun. I hope you have a great day Kath!
Susan H. @ The Food Allergy Chronicles says
It really looks like spring where you are! I truly love Spring…watching everything seemingly come back to life, starting my herb garden, clearing out my perennials…and my birthday!
Ashley @ Coffee Cake and Cardio says
I completely agree— spring is such a tease. I always forget how awesome it is, though I hate the allergies!
Liz @ Tip Top Shape says

Lauren @ What Lauren Likes says
That bowl is so cute 😀
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
What a gorgeous view! I love spring, but fall definitely is my favorite! I’ve never been one big on summer because it was always so humid in the midwest. That’s not to say I don’t LIKE it because the warm weather is always nice, but spring and fall are my favs! 🙂
Jamie @ Don't Forget the Cinnamon says
Your spring photos are gorgeous!!!!! Those trees!!!! I’m quite jealous–it’s snowing here in VT at the moment 🙁
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
Wahooo for a GREAT Spring! Usually it is cold and rainy…but warm and sunny< –I'll take it!
Angela @ Happy Fit Mama says
I really love Spring days when the grass is green, flowers are sprouting, and the air smells clean. Unfortunately there is none of that here right now. It’s a cold, gray day.
Hooray for gardens! What are you planting? I can’t wait to start mine. Still too early in NH!
KathEats says
Tomatoes, greens, peppers, squash, herbs!
Maria says
Beautiful and delicious! I love this time of year…and breakfast…
Lexi @ Cura Personalis Foodie says
Cherry blossoms + overnight oats…it doesn’t get any better!
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
The flowering trees are amazing this Spring!
jojo says
Yes, I love the fresh-ness you feel in the spring!
It feels like it’s the “beginning” when the plants start to grow green leaves, flowers bloom, etc!
Kait says
I just want to say that I have never seen a blog that I look up to so much. I’m studying nutrition at the moment and I absolutely love everything about your blog and life. I hope that I can have one as amazing as this one day. For now I only have my instagram! Keep up this amazing work.
