Wow, my blood is racing with excitement today. I feel like I’ve had 10 cups of coffee. We had a really exciting morning. After breakfast (and blogging) we took a trip to Harris Teeter, camera in tow. People were definitely staring at us and apparently one woman said, “Is there a movie star here!?” Haha – yup, that’s me!!! Once home with the groceries, we put on a production to make lunch. We thought grilling the veggies would be appropriate, so we heated up the grill and made huge salads.
Zucchini, carrot, bell pepper and peach –
Also with goat cheese, almonds and a homemade dressing (the usual, balsamic, honey, mustard, rosemary, salt)
On the side I had a half cup-ish bowl of greek yogurt topped with strawberries and a few walnuts for garnish.
Plus a seltzer!
And the husband made some cheesy rolls for our dinner tonight (and for the camera!) and they look beautiful. I’m saving up to have one with dinner, but I did snag a bite of the husband’s
Off to a wine tasting!!

I think camera’s over my shoulder would boost my adrenaline too! I would be so afraid of not appearing natural, but I’m sure you’re a super star. I can’t wait to see the finished ‘behind the scenes’ footage.

Would your husband mind sharing the recipe with me for the cheesy rolls? They look amazing!
I’m glad you have a TV crew following you around, you’re pretty inspirational and you’re sharing a good message about health/nutrition/fitness.

What a beautiful lunch. I especially love the addition of the grilled peach.
Did having the camera over your shoulder help you only eat one bit of the roll? From the looks of them, I’d have eaten a couple.

I plan on putting the recipe for cheesy bread/rolls/baguettes up pretty soon! I’ve just been a little slow getting it all together. I’ll try tomorrow.
Biz319 says
Thanks husband! Looking forward to the recipe.

So exciting that you’re being filmed!
Any chance we’ll have an opportunity to see the finished product?
And goodness gracious…those rolls look divine. I probably would have eaten one fresh out of the oven, too. That’s why I don’t often make homemade bread!

Kath – I can’t wait to see the final video! Have fun with your dinner party tonight!
I just found a great deal – if your Target sells Kashi products you should give it a try. Right now most Kashi products at Target are on sale for 4 for $11 – which is a good deal….but if you buy 4, the give you a $5 gift card to use on your next purchase…essentially making the price $1.50 each. AND you can sign up through Kashi and get 2 $2 off 1 item coupons. If you use them both you can get 4 Kashi products for $2 ($11-$4 coupons -$5 gift card) If you can find someone else to print you coupons, you could potentially get paid $2 ($11-8 in coupons-$5gift card) to take home 4 kashi products!
Good luck!
Katy says
oops – i was just catching up on old comments and saw that katrina posted this deal yesterday – I hope some of you have had a chance to take advantage of it!

kath, i wanted to tell you that i made your coconut almond granola yesterday, and it won me over with one tiny pinch. it is perfect in every single way, and i really don’t say these things lightly! i don’t know how you created such a great recipe, but i’m very impressed. i’ll be making sure to have it on hand very often from now on. i made half the recipe, but now bought more of the ingredients for future use 🙂 thank you!
