This dinner is just a memory now. It was light out when I packed it up and dark in a classroom when it was consumed. I’ll remember it as it was photographed 🙂
Afternoon snacks were enjoyed around 3:30. This was my favorite Glo-Bar yet! Big and chewy. Those are tiny Montana apples about the size of a golf ball. So cute!
A few hours later around 6:00…
Salmon Salad
Made with half a can of Costco wild Alaskan salmon (no skin, no bones), a chopped carrot and celery stalk, about 1/3 cup leftover curry + raisin brown rice, a squirt of mustard, a squirt of olive oil mayo, more curry powder.
Consumed with only the best: Kashi Honey Sesame
And a chocolate for good spirits
All eaten while learning about COPD and CHF during MNT
Evening nourishment – New Morning Oatios and some Kashi GoLean Crunch in soy milk with a cup of tea.
And a spoonful of peanut butter helped the medicine go down
Goodnight!

Influenced by your sardine salad I made some last week and loved it. I have a can of salmon in the pantry! Guess what I am making for lunch tomorrow!? 🙂

In response to your mention of the American Girl dolls in your last post (i had Samantha and Felicity), have you heard about the most recent doll? Bizarre story…I like this writer’s feelings about the message behind the doll. What do you think?

Oh, American Girl dolls.
Addy had the best stories! The other girls’ stories just paled in comparison to the underground railroad.

Do you ever get embarrassed eating “smelly” food in class? I always feel a little weird eating it at work!

I love dipping cracker in tuna salad more than on a sandwich. Makes food much more fun.

COPD…If I’m correct you give high fat, calorie dense foods in COPD, correct? I loved those lectures in school. Good stuff.

I love, love, love Hershey’s Bliss. So much better than Dove’s version, I think.

I love Bliss chocolates…I have a big sized bag of the milk chocolate …and it’s only me who lives here – uh oh :)…oh well. And love salmon, delish – would you believe I used to love ketchup on it…and may still do at times …yeah, classy huh??
Great blog, if anyone wishes to check mine out for much-needed feedback or advice I’d love to hear from you ! Add me to your rolls if you see fit ! 🙂

I’m always rushing when I’m packing my lunch for work and never remember to photograph it and seldom remember my camera. It leaves me with a lot of breakfast and dinner posts . . . gotta get that in better gear!

That salad looks really good! 🙂

Haha. I’m in total school mode over here. I read what you were learning about minus the abbreviations. Our teacher has been drilling medical terminology in our heads! I’ll have to tell her it’s working, haha 🙂

I just started reading your blog and I love everything! The story of your husband and yourself, your recipes, your energy, etc! So contagious!!! I’ve always yoyo dieted and I always said no to chcolate thinking it’s a diet NO. What I learned from you is that it’s okay to have a treat at the end of the day. That has helped me reduce any chance of binge eating. Thanks for everything!

lauren,
Yeah, I’m not sure that was the best doll to unveil right now. And the irony made me cringe….
angieinatlanta,
Yes, I do get embarrassed if it smells. So I try not to bring too many crunchy/smelly things. But sometimes you just gotta go it..
AnneNP,
Yes, lower in CHO!
Dianacheung,
Thanks and welcome!
