This blog post kind of wants me to be American 😉 (Maybe I’ll have a belated food-happy Canada Day celebration?)
Thanks for sharing all these delicious recipes! Looks like a lot of them would be perfect to enjoy all summer long.

Independence Day is my favorite holiday! I love all of these red, white and blue ideas. I do find, however, that with SO many Pinterest Fails out here, it’s not a reliable recipe source these days. Did you and your intern test all of these recipes? That’s a LOT of work! Thanks for your diligence! Happy 4th!
KathEats says
No we didn’t test them! That would be quite the undertaking!

I love that egg carton craft for kids- what a fun idea!
Alex @ get big, go to work says
That deep dish apple pie…want!! Thanks for a thorough but implosive version of Pinterest today. Much less overwhelming!
Cassie says

Kath,
Longtime reader, first time commenter. I am always so inspired by reading about your day to day life. Juggling multiple freelance projects, a demanding Toddler, nurturing a beautiful relationship with Matt, and doing good in your community on top of it all. I think it is great that you still find the time to nurture yourself and have so many interests that you make time for.
This post is just another example of your efforts. Sourcing the web to give us all these great ideas for celebrating our proud Nation. I am so excited already to try some of these projects!
And I can’t believe you took the time to recreate the Spice-a-Rita recipe just from taste memory. You really are a Supertaster. Your interns are lucky to work side by side with you, there is so much knowledge you can pass along.
Don’t want to ramble, just really appreciate all you hard work and enjoy reading your blog.
Carrie

Was looking for a recipe to use up a can of cherries! Looking forward to trying the Cherry Dream Bars. The recipe looks delicious and detailed. And I agree with Lisa – I’m so tired of seeing online recipes with obvious omissions and flaws – what size pan? how hot an oven? how many does it make? why are ingredients left over?….

Great round up Kath and thank you for including my recipe. 🙂

I always love your “Round Up” posts, and this one is so fun!
