Today we were invited to a Two-Year Blogiversary brunch for Miss Sarah Smart Kitchen!
I determined that our houses were 1.5 miles apart, so walking was mandatory (even passing a huge box of GH muffins between us!). “If you can walk, you shall” was implemented. It was actually a great walk! (And note: Toms were supportive enough for multiple miles)
We were greeted by a semi-potluck feast of wonderful healthy foods:
Ham biscuits, salad, veggies + hummus
Sarah’s famous pimento cheese! And eggs + bacon.
Plus a yogurt + Love Grown Granola bar!
With tons of fruit! I had thirds on the strawberries by the end of the brunch – can’t get enough!
I assembled a lovely plate of things – including salad, firsts and seconds. I steamed my ham biscuit in the microwave and also went back for extra pimento cheese!
On the side – a yogurt + fruit cup with Love Grown on top.
For dessert I tried a chocolate brownie mini muffin and a bite of the Pumpkin Chocolate muffins we brought
Of course the conversation flowed to nut butters and Sarah brought out a brand I had never tried!
I did not care for the fruit flavors, but the Cookie Nookie was incredible! Great texture and loved the chocolate chip pieces
Girl power. Boys were on the side 🙂
We took the long way home and I’m meeting Faith for walk #2 in just a bit. Long time no see!
Matt’s working on some Stout Braised Short Ribs for dinner, so we have lots to look forward to.

What a great brunch, and a great reason to celebrate! Love your “If you can walk, you shall” policy. I need to implement that more! Well… maybe once it’s not winter anymore 🙂 My dream is to live somewhere where I can walk to all my “main” places. Especially the grocery store!

The Cookie Nookie…oh wow, sounds awesome. Not necessarily “cookie butter”, i.e. Biscoff or TJ’s speculoos, but sounds like PB with cookie chunks? Sounds fabulous!
Pimento cheese = love it. And the cute idea of a yogurt/granola bar. Fun!
Congrats to Sarah!

Wow- Sarah certainly knows how to host a brunch. Everything looks fantastic- so much so that I’m not even distracted by the array of peanut butters! (Okay, maybe a little)
And good to know about the Toms. I don’t own a pair (yet) but was thinking of purchasing some (because, uh… I need more shoes).
Adrianna says
you will LOVE them. I spent a ton of travel time warring them last month, and they even held up for a few sprints between gates. plus they go with nearly everything.

Looks like a great spread! I’ve been reading your blog for a long time now and am enjoying following your pregnancy. I am 10 years older than you and have 2 sets of twins (now 10 and 7), so it really takes me back to the beginning of my pregnancies. Best of luck!
Lydia 🙂

Those PB Crave flavors remind me of a peanut butter company that used to be popular and then suddenly disappeared, website and all. And now I can’t think of the name! I just remember them having a really great “cookie dough peanut butter”. I wonder if it’s the same owners.
Angela @ Happy Fit Mama says
Cookie Nookie sounds amazing! I’m googling it right now!
