Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

This apple cinnamon oatmeal is creamy and scented like an apple pie with cinnamon and vanilla! Top with walnuts and maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup water
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 an apple chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chopped walnuts and maple syrup to garnish
  • Coconut oil

Instructions

  • Add a few teaspoons of coconut oil to the bottom of a pot and sauté the apple until caramelized and soft.
  • Add oats, milk, water, salt, and cinnamon and turn heat to medium.
  • Stir frequently until oatmeal reaches desired consistency.
  • Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Portion into bowls and top with walnuts, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a light dusting of cinnamon to garnish.
